I dont know where I stand with the new remastered games, open ra is already great why replace it and why replace it with something that costs?

@Wrath-Amon honestly though, open ra is not identical to the original, it will be nice to have both options, I also dont mind paying to support the composer of the music Frank and also the band that helped. I also like the new art style etc. So I dont know where I stand.

Yeah, imagine the security engineers who put the little 3d low poly cannons into the firewall. No cryptography, no rsa, no unbreakable algorithms based on hardcore math, just an arcade videogame from the 90s every village idiot can beat. I truly hope the goverment paid billions for them.

The thing is, when you were 12 or 13 and the internet wasn't in everybody's pocket, it was so much easier to get sucked in a game and it's world. Sure it's an awesome game, but many people tend to forget, that immersion to games gets harder when we grow up, and we demand way more from them than back in the day.

I have to agree. Every time I completed a mission, there was a cutscene and made me want acomplish the next mission to understand the story.

Go watch films, shows, games and music of the 80's and 90's and you will experience quality you simply don't get today in terms of detailing, writing and a unique experience. This is because the creators actually cared about what they were making, spending endless hours toiling towards making something genuinely creative, new and intensively detailed. Today everything is copy paste because almost everything is designed on an internet computer released to a dumb uncritical audience, it is so insanely easy to just look at dozens of competitors and copy their ideas instead of inventing new ones, with studios also willing to take risks to beat competition, and a lack of need to release a complete finished product when you can endlessly patch after release or instead cultivate a cult following by being political or virtue signalling on social media. I honestly feel sorry for our young generation of today who will lack experiencing creativity in most media and must look to the past or dig deep in the bowels of the internet to find anything resembling something new and exciting

The hardest mission on nod was where you infelttrate the base just to steal the box thing and then returning to the drop off point, if the GDI killed your troop who took the box then you were screwed

@@philipped.r.6385 there's this one gdi mission that was hard and that was when you built your base and could have mostly gaurd towers as your defense for the base and you had to fend off nods flames tanks who did a number of damage to your base

gillyssquashball, If you look at it from the point of view of Kane, he is leaving the world after he has out stayed his welcome, He wants to get off of earth as stated in CNC 4 Tiberian Twilight and a lot of times in Tiberium Wars, Nod would disappear as the Tiberium did, GDI would be taken down, And then the World would return to its normal state, Kane though he could evolve humanity at first with the appearance of Tiberium, But he failed, After creating Tiberium Infusions, and all of those Tiberium weapons, He found a way to control it, And then he left earth, The Scrin Tower destroying the Tiberium

The developers strongly believed that wars wouldn't be fought nation to nation like they have in the past, they thought it would be a nation or a small group of nations versus a large, powerful group with no centralized government. Which is what they try to convey in the games.

@@fargeeks Not that weird. In the 90s it was common for live-action video game characters to be played by staff or personnel. It kept budget low & removed scheduling issues but most of all, unlike today they didn't have to deal with as much govt censorship, ultra-high taxation nor extreme over-regulation. You could 'hire' whoever for whatever bit you'd need without risking getting sued or arrested so it was win/win. The 90s were good times.
