The biggest gripe most had with RA3 was the fact the developers dialed up the campiness to 11 (though to be fair RA2 was pretty campy with the cutscenes) but it’s still playable . C&C 4 was the game that just killed the franchise

The C&C franchise is dead, sadly. I'm not aware of others that mixed live action FMVs with a game. Except a recent indie title that I forgot the name of.

It's mostly B list celebrities, they just paid them for little work.

@@liteney Red Alerts 1+2 for sure. But they ruined 3. You get no time to feel out your units. So you don't really learn about their strengths+ weaknesses. And half the time you can just relax and let the AI win the game for you. . Thanks to that ridiculous feature that adds an AI partner. The best thing 3 about RA 3 is the cutscenes. In 1+2 you were given 1-2 new units with each new mission. That allowed you to learn how they work. But in RA3? Oh boy . They just pile it all in there . Bam! You have everything, and have no clue as to how any of it works. It's a shame too, because some of those new units were awesome.

Disagree, the allies ending gameplay wise clearly showed the end of both Japan and the Soviet Union. Mission 7 spells the defeat of the Empire, and Mission 9 spells the defeat of Tim curry. in the Empire campaign, mission 8 destroys Moscow and the time machine, and mission 9 destroys the last allied resistance in Amsterdam (The USA had already been defeated in Mission 6). Also, the Red alert 3 DLC Uprising showed the Allies campaign as the canon ending lol
