I super dig what you did with the battlesuit and now know I'll probably be able to slapchop him (plus maybe some metallics on the edges?). I think the blade does look a little sloppy though (the line between the edge and the backbone of the sword in particular). While I think this was done on purpose to create an energy-effect, it kinda feels lackluster, when compared to the absolutely stunning work on the suit. Other than that I will definitely use this and the official guide in tandem to see what I can do with my mini! Great inspiration!

Nice paint job. Games Workshop should do their normal super neat cartoony, paint jobs and an alternative more realistic Grimdark version for their box art. Two vibes are better than one.

One thing you could try for the sword: undercoat it with a bright metallic silver instead of white. That way, it'll have a bit of a metallic shine through the contrast paint.

Ironically the new model is so much worse not only than farsight 2.0, but any commander to date. The only thing going on for him is that he's bigger and has a cooler pose, but they completely ruined the shapes and the style that Tau have across all their range. This mini isn't part of the Tau range at all. You guys just praise it because it exists and it's big... shiny objects.
