Weird that this is only the 2nd time I encountered the VA for Javik from ME3. Dude had iconic voice for iconic lines. "Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters. Their silence is your answer." Some real goddamn powerful stuff. Ikande is still a cool character but compared to Javik he is very milk toast and we never get a sense of his history, instead we get Lt. Toft's. So you can only assume Ikande is a no nonsense paladin type career military guy. Which is kind of vanilla.

You can get Ikande’s background from his computer terminal. His family was killed by the Crimson Fleet, and he’s fighting to protect others from them. It actually is a bit more in depth than that.

Think about for just sec.. some bald shit takes you in captivity, propose to you some shitty job which turns out to be extremely risky. So he asks you to infiltrate Crimson Fleet. Imagine, that you are a criminal. Gangster, Cyber runner, Space Scoundrel or you just criminal in gameplay and so on. So, this guy sends you into Crimson Fleet, expecting you to do THEIR fucking job, and not just that, but also he demand to return with info. Now.. usually in a situation like this - he should have some leverage on our character so we can't do wrong. Does he have any of such leverage? Long story short he got nothing to hold us back. We can easily fool him by playing along with Crimson Fleet. That's the epic grade of moron if i ever saw one. Even better, he jeopardized entire thing by sending a stranger like me into Crimson Fleet.

I've never started the quest this way, but if you go through Vanguard, he'll pretty much tell that you're his last shot before MAST pulls the plug of SysDef.

@@brandonquist8394 I did it through Vanguard as well when I played and only found out later while looking something up that there was an alternate way to start this chain because I generally never broke any laws
