*Hadana's Climb // Winged Temple of Orazca* is perfect for this, you get a flying island that can one shot your opponent with commander damage XD

a thing to remember is that arixmethes can turn into a creature at instant speed so can always play that to your advantage during combat. also, you can untap arixmethes with kiora, master of depths' +1 even after he becomes a creature.

I think this guy would be good if you let him hang on to one slumber counter until you get something to make him unblockable, and hopefully double strike.

I built a broken version of this. 11 mass bounces spells ( cast these as he is an Island and he doesn't get bounce because of that). 13 counter spells. 11 draws. And 10 ways to give him unblock able with artifacts or creatures. The rest are single bounce and ramp. 35 lands maybe 34. ( he is a land so I don't see the need for the standard 37 or 38)

Yeee finally get a arixmethes! Awesome ideas, I was mostly brewing loads and loads of one drop spells with good value, and then a few huge creatures or buff spells.

Can anyone explain what happens when you enchant Arixmethes with Urban Burgeoning? If Arixmethes stops being a land, does he essentially untap during everyone's turn?

Why not use shrieking drake for a cheap ?(casting cost and money cost)Its a nice way to remove 1 counter for the price of 1 blue mana, repeatable as needed and staying in your hand (unless countered)

Wow ! I have 5/6 edh decks. And i wonder how other people doing ? All your deck are competitives, or finished, with must-have-cards, completed mana base with fetch lands ?
