Woah woah woah, King Macar's CONTROLLER gets the Gold token, not the controller of the exiled creature. Really hope they don't mess that up during the game.

At about 26:00, Jeremy can't have Progenitor Mimic be two different creatures via the copy. It enters the battlefield as a copy of another creature, and when the copy trigger from Riku is on the stack, it can only create a copy of whatever the original Mimic enters the battlefield as.

At 27:00 - This is not how clones work =/ You choose what to copy as it enters the battlefield, which means Progenitor Mimic is already the chosen creature when Riku's trigger goes on the stack. He would've gotten two Kazuul.

I love how causal they play. It's how magic should be played with friends. No real arguing just playful banter. When Justin swapped lands because he thought it was a signet, they were fine with it. As they should be. It's how me and my friends play and that's probably why these are so fun to watch

@ around the 46:00 time mark, the opponent chooses which creature to bring back, then you choose one in your graveyard, and if you agree, both return those cards to play, Justin, as the owner of the angel doesn't get to choose which card the opponent brings XD, else it would be super busted! Also Jeremy missed 2! triggers from wear and tear(they are different spells after all), also the issue with King makar, the owner of the king is the one who gets the gold token XD

708.4. Although split cards have two castable halves, each split card is only one card. For example, a player who has drawn or discarded a split card has drawn or discarded one card, not two. The Gold is in the side of the controller of King Macar. And with Dawnbreak Reclaimer you opponent chooses the card from your graveyard, not you

Good video (as always !) but I was a bit surprised when i saw how you resolved the King Macar trigger, cause it's the player controling Macar that get the gold, not the one that got his creature exiled ^^

Jeremy, you had it in your hands...when you cast your identity thief, copy it with riku, equip one with greaves, attack, bounce macar, then equip kalemne with those same greaves, then use YOUR macar from identity thief by untapping it with your staff, exiling macar. Suarez then HAS to cast a spell to get him back into play, and you get your trigger, and work from there.

A fun challenge is one that we ran recently in our own playgroup: Everyone builds a deck with the exact same Commander (non five color one) and every time someone casts a card that has been cast before during the game, they get a penalty point. Least amount of penalty points gets a bonus game point. It forces to get creative with deck building but also showcases how each will approach a certain Commander.

How are the possible generals from Kamigawa more difficult to understand than any from any other set?

There is a ton of strange junky commandeers in Kamigawa with weird abilities. And they can't even follow the rules of simlpe ones.

IamLakaiCheAker But nobody plays the strange ones. They would probably take the obvious ones like Kiki-Jiki, Azami or Kira, Azusa or Seshiro and Eight-and-a-half-tails, which is the only one of those they could screw up. The uncommon ones are super weird for the sake of being super weird, so I would leave those alone.

Other than getting King Macar's ability wrong, this has been one of the most satisfying Commander Vs videos ever. It felt like an episode of Game of Thrones with backstabbing and tyrannical Kings. I usually hate Suarez wins, but this is his best ever.

A creature dying is going to the graveyard from the battlefield. So going to the command zone still doesn't work.

Somewhat a comedy of errors, but I'm a casual commander, so I was all about the errors and definitely the comedy. Great season guys. I always love to see mill, even if it was semi-unintended. Which brings me to a deck suggestion, feel free to dismiss of course, but I really love playing Phenax Artifact Mill featuring Metalworker and Umbral Mantle and would love to see it relieve everyone of the weight of all those books in their libraries. Thanks again for doing all this.

My favorite moment this season was Emrakul, the colorless Badass taking control of multiple turns and ruining the fun of everyone else. That game was a blast to watch.

I have a few ideas for next season (not all at once): 1. All play with the same deck, as in the same cards. 2. Play with the Planechase stuff 3. Play with an instant/sorcery/enchantment as a commander 4. Play a specific set only (for everyone) 5. Play only flavor text creatures (no abilities on them)

I'm wondering how interesting a pod of four of the Patrons from Kamigawa would get. That could be quite interesting watching everyone play tribal in commander, minus the Moonfolk not having enough to quite go tribal. I personally would love to see that happen.

Nice season guys ! Even tho I don't like how long his turns sometimes are, Jeremy made quite the comeback, even tho he still finishes in last place. He's starting to catch up to the game of everyone else. And, please, PLEASE, next season give Justin a deck he must play made exclusively of Kamigawa block's cards.

the gold enters the battlefield under the control of the owner of king, macaar. if it enters under an opponents control it would say so on the card otherwise it enters under your control.

IS IT JUST ME or are they playing Macar super wrong? The owner of the exiled creature doesn't get the token, the Macar player does. They said it wrong in the intro, thought it was a small slip up. Then they actually played the ability wrong for the rest of the game. How did nobody catch this?

Jeremy did some fun stuff and had some similar stuff as my Riku deck. I play a little bit more on the Gruul side usually but copies and clones are so much fun and also very powerful. Glad to see John go ham with his deck, very smart plays. Looking forward to the next episode and season! Thanks for everything Commander VS! Did they say when they were starting the next season? They usually take like a 2 week break right?

Theme: "Outcast Wedge Commanders." Pick the 4 commanders in the wedges that weren't in the first commander set or Khans block: Doran, Leovold, Marchesa, and Maelstrom Wanderer. (I'm hoping Jeskai gets a sixth commander soon) I'd also love to see someone pilot a few of my decks and get advice on making them better. Tariel-Mardu Value, Intet-Top of Library/Combo, Ghave-Tokens/Counters, Shu Yun-Prowess, Damia-Graveyard/Clones Rafiq-Enchantments, Dromar-ETB/Blink, Jeleva-Instants/Sorceries, Prossh-Sacrifice, Mayael-Creatures Zedruu-"Hold This," Nekusar-Draw Cards, Riku-Copy Everything, Child of Alara-Angel Tribal (no five-color legendary angel)

Next season, break the curse. 4 mono red commanders. My suggestions: Feldon of the Third Path, Kurkesh Onakke Ancient, Diochan Artful Beauty, and Marton Stromgald (not sure about spelling on any of those, but I tried to pick ones that haven't been commanders before and that have different strategies).

I would love at least one episode next season (maybe even the first?) to be plainly and simply "my favorite deck" from the four of these guys. I really wouldn't mind seeing what an actual game of commander between these guys would look like. Will John win on turn 4? Will Parnell choose Meren and will we get to see that? I would just love to see some personal brews of our cast members here.

For next seasons random-onium, I was thinking you could play a "mechanics mash up". Deal out two random mechanics each and create a deck around those. It might make some more favorable combinations, delve and delirium compared to flight and reach, for example. But it would open up the use of creative plays which is always fun.

I would like to see a Noyan Dar deck. I built one that is a few mana rocks that tap for coloured mana and lands, a Narset transcendant and every other spell is a cmc 1 instant or sorcery. Lots of cantrips and Flying and unblockable effects. Usually I kill one person with a 47/47 unblockable Island turn 7 then everyone kills me before I can hit anyone else XD. It would be interesting to see what you brewers could come up with.

Actually, since Riku's creature copy ability triggers when the creature enters the battlefield and Progenitor Mimic enters the battlefield as a copy of another creature, the Mimic copy token created by Riku enters the battlefield as that creature also. So, Jeremy should have gotten two copies of Kazuul and lost one because of the Legend Rule.

Is there already a event where the made the decks? Like have a vote for '' What should Stephen Green play as his commander?'' Then announce the commander and give everyone a chance to participate in making of the deck. In like most suggested cards manner. It could be fun interaction with SCG crew and community.
