The Washington Football Team did grow on me as well. But living in the DMV area, the Commanders has grown on me a little. But the most important thing is winning. No matter what you change your name to or how cool your team name is, it means nothing unless you start winning. Love that Dale is a huge fan of the team.

Football Team is absolutely awful. All teams are Football Team. Either leave at Commanders or take their time and find a name that fits Washington DC

They started out as the Boston Braves. There’s nothing offensive about the name Braves. I’d like to see them go back to that.

I wish they would be the Warriors and get back to the look and feel as they once were. Get the old uniforms back. Red Wolves would have the look and feel of an expansion team, just like Commanders does. At least Red Wolves sounds better than Commanders, so wouldn't mind it that much. BTW, Football Team was never really a nickname. It was describing the football team in Washington that didn't have a name.

The Washington Veterans. The Mets, the Jets, the Vets! Who wants to have to play a team of 55 veterans! Washington DC is the home of all military branches. How about the team contributing to veteran's causes. Now you have the real America's team.

The problem for Washington is any new name needs to reflect what the state is famous for. Who wants to have a name that reminds people of politicians or politics? The Washington Congress? The Washington Amendments? The Washington Filibusters? The Washington Gerrymanderers? The Washington Insurrectionists?

I don't care what their name is, I'll never stop referring to them as the Washington Redskins.
