It's basically like a video game which makes it even better. Before B.J. Blazkowicz, Doomguy, Duke Nukem... There was John Matrix ! Even John Wick is just a modern John Matrix.

I was 6 years old when this came out. My mum loved Arnold and his nonsense action movies. When she would see him on TV she would say "Mm that's my boyfriend right there" bare in mind she's a Caribbean woman lol the 80s produced some of the best movies, great times lol

This was Arnold Schwarzenegger in his Prime. His John Matrix certainly given Stallone a run for his money. Commando basically is a parody version of this type of action movie. It was his first time out of loincloth and robot 🤖 killer with Conan & Terminator.

The scene at 0.55 was popular poster that don the video cassettes shop in my town. that poster was first I saw of Arnold. Otherwise I saw the movie much later. Not only the gun even his black wrist watch used to looks so impressive.
