This video is a documentary on Fnatic's tournament run at VCT LOCK//IN, the biggest Valorant tournament to date. It goes through every match they played, including against Sentinels, 100 Thieves, and LOUD, along with all the changes Fnatic made in the off-season and the players they kept, such as Boaster, Derke, Leo, Alfajer and Chronicle. The Grand Final was probably the greatest series of Valorant ever played - and this video covers it all, on how Fnatic became World Champions.

fun fact: on round 22 of icebox chronicle cancelled the plant and got killed, which nearly costed them the round and likely even the game. Turns out Chronicle did not cancel, it was a bug which didn't allow him to plant, he started repeating "I can't plant", but his teammates kept their cool and their response was "then we fight". Straight out of a movie lmao. (source: literally their comms, they are up on youtube)

As a longtime Chronicle/Gambit fan, I got to see and cheer for Fnatic on 4/5 matches. I was there front row regardless of the opponent, stressed out and passing out almost every game. Seeing them win was a dream come true and reliving this is bringing tears to my eyes.

When Fnatic was down 11-3, I remember leaving the stream saying "fck that" then checked VLR after 10min to see the final score but I saw fnatic coming back, I tuned back in and witnessed history being made.

I love when alfajer clutched, no one noticed until it showed "clutch". They were just cheering and then when they noticed that he clucthed, they just started groaning. Watching the finals live was like nothing else.

I became a Fnatic Valorant fan in the end of 2021, when they got 2nd in the EMEA Stage 2 Challengers finals in an thrilling 2:3 final against Liquid. Mistic was still part of team then (now btw. playing for an very exciting new Apeks team), but the main reason why I instantly liked this team was not even Derkes crazy plays (he already did insane stuff back then), but Boaster. That dude is the greatest IGL in the Valorant pro scene - such a charismatic and lovely dude who cares for his team like they're his family. And now... with Alfajer, Chronicle and in the end also Leo becoming part of Fnatic, it's not only the statistically worlds best team on 3 individual positions and several agents (Derke - Dualist, Leo - Initiator / Sova, Alfajer - Sentinel / Killjoy, Chronicle - Breach / Brimstone, Boaster - IGL), but also such a nice group of funny dudes living their dream. It's such a fun to watch these insane talents rocking this game. The W-W-L-L-W final against LOUD at LOCKIN was more thrilling than the last Champions League final to me. I'm so excited for VCT 2023 and 2024, since there are so many good new teams coming up with all the Challenger leagues right now (EMEA alone has 8 leagues in which teams are qualifying for the qualification for VCT, but also North America, Pacific and South America regions have many teams to qualify - so only the best of the best will be there in the end).

It sucks that the "fans" there had no sportsmanship and left the arena immediately after Loud lost. I'm sure that those 5/10 minutes they saved totally changed their lives.

It was only "a real worry" because your team lost, if Loud won everyone would have stayed for literally 10 minutes more at most, but it's a known fact that Brazilians are not good sports, it's the same in every sport and every tournament hosted in Brazil.

Another Commend upload = another banger vid. I'll admit it, when I saw Fnatic take the series against Furia convincingly, I told my friends "I'm not gonna get my hopes up for Fnatic, they choke every international LAN they look promising in." Who would've known that I'd be screaming for their 3-11 comeback against Loud on Icebox. Boaster, Derke, and Mini, have deserved to lift a trophy for Fnatic for YEARS. Alfajer was robbed of his chance to prove himself in Istanbul. Chronicle was a member of the best VCT roster to ever come out of EMEA, Gambit. I believe Leo single-handedly pulled Guild Esports out of complete obscurity in the EMEA scene. Every time I think that VCT can't get me more emotionally invested, they pull me back in. That Boaster interview had me in tears.
