Viltrox EF M2 or this Commlite for my g85, what is your recommendation?

My Commlite pass-thru adapter and 0.71x booster are the only EF to MFT adapters that consistently connect to my Black Magic Pocket 4k camera with all three lens features ...iris control, autofocus, and image stabilization. Viltrox and Metabones are always behind on firmware updates and I am lucky to have any one of those three features -- whereas the original Commlite 1.0 firmware continues to work after camera FW updates and has never needed its own FW update. The Commlites are also solidly built and the booster optics work well with my shorter focal length lenses (FYI - long telephotos do not work well with *any* speed booster).

Were you ever able to get the sigma to behave parfocally with this adapter? You don’t mention though it’s somewhat important for video. Both metabones and viltrox have a back-focus adjustment mechanisms but I don’t think this one does

I was actually just looking up for new reviews on the Commlite speedbooster earlier today! Debating between the Viltrox and the Commlite, as I don’t have the money for a Metabones. From the sound of it, the Viltrox maybe has better optics but the Commlite has better build quality?

How to upgrate filmware

I bought Commlite CM-AEF-MFT(B) Canon EF/EF-S Lens to M43 Electronic Autofocus Lens Adapter Mount Camera for Panasonic GH cameras - I had an 18-300mm for my Canon SL2 - connected to my G7 - autofocus does not work. Av and Tv work fine. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Some setting I need to change in my G7 to allow this adapter to work? Must I always touch the screen to focus?

Do you know if the glass element protrudes as much in the front of the adapter? Viltrox EF-M2 has protruding glass compared to Metabones which disqualifies it with some EF-S lenses (i.e. 24mm f2/8 STM). I was wondering if it's better with Commlite to make me switch :)
