Dear god! I used to compose, meter and focus by hand during the film era as a pro in San Francisco, god forbid that it takes a nanosecond more than a Sony lens!!

indeed. thank god for eye-af. finally the decades upon decades of photographers failing to get sharp photos using conventional spot based focusing can come to an end.

Really good video: thank you. I recently swapped my Nikon D500 and Olympus EM1 mark II systems for a Sony A7III system. I decided to obtain Sony lenses as I felt the adapted Nikon lenses were either too slow or did not work at all. Your tests show I made the correct choice.

They now show version 07 firmware and many more cameras compatible with it. Also the readme with the version 07 firmware download says they updated the tamron 70-200 compatibility, wider focus area and more.

Hi PureMocO .. i'm a little bit confused, you are testing your nikon lenses to A7iii using CM-ENF-E1 PRO v06 but in 1:30 you stated that A7iii is not supported yet. I'm eyeing this adapter for my a7iii. Thank you..!

If you look on the product homepage of Commlite, you will only find A6300, A7RII, A7II, A6500 and A9 as supported cameras. So any other camera is officially not supported. Of course I have tested with the A7III. But it is not officially mentioned by Commlite. But the interface seems to be the same with other cameras and this is, why it is working. The A7III is very new, so I guess, they will need some time to test everything and maybe release a firmware to improve the compability.

I bought a commlite enf-e1 pro v6.0 and when I attach it to my a7iii and any nikon glass that is on the list of usable it sets it at f1 and I don't have any autofocus or function. I am a special case where it doesn't work or does anyone else have this issue?

how about the eye AF does it even work on the nikon lenses? that is what I am more interested.

Hi. I have sold all my Nikon lens, and I have bought 3 Sony Lens ( happy ) , but I still have a Sigma 150-600 Contemporary ( mount Nikon ) , it is the only lens I need to attach to my Sony A7III. I tested a Viltrox, it was bad the focus ( not strange noises but bad focus), Fotodiox bad reviews... ( rejected).... My doubt is about: VELLO or COMMLITE ? no one is in compatibility list, but the question is: has someone attached Sony A7III with Sigma 150-600 C Nikon mount? I Sport usage will be the mayor usage Forgive may poor english. Thanks all in advance. Best regards.

I ''would like to use the Nikon 300 mm PF vr f4 on my Sony a6300 for birds in flight. Is there anybody who has tried that combo with the commlite adapter?

thank you. Very good test When I tried the Commlite v06 on my A7ii, I could not focus at all. Not even once. Tried it on multiple lens including nikon 24-120 f/4, nikon 70-200 f/2.8 and Sigma 24 1.4. I ended up returned the commlite. I now wonder I might have the wrong setting. To use the commlite, do I need to change any camera setting? Thanks

Timothy Kwong Not that I am aware of. I have changed no big settings. Maybe the communication in the A7III is completely different compared to the A7II. But as mentioned, the autofocus on the Sigma 15mm Fisheye did also not worked at all...

thanks for your reply. It has been a month since you tested it. Did you find the commlite performs consistently? Did you experience situation where it works one day and then not working later on the same lens? thanks

Yes, sometimes I have a whole camera "lock-up" when using the adapter. I have not tested this in detail, but sometimes I need to restart the camera to make everything work again.
