Roger Kean also passed away in January 2023 - Sad to see that is 4 out of the 5 legends of the 1980s computer games scene are now gone forever.

A superb interview. There is always something new to be learned from these stories, which are unique to each interview. This footage is priceless GOLD for fans, and my only complaint is that I wasnt in the crowd. Was there also an Amiga panel? I watched the Jon Hare Marathon - yes all pure Gold. I was just waiting for someone to ask Oliver Frey a question, and I felt he was left out. Oliver doesnt do interviews like the other guys, so we never get to hear his thoughts on making Thalamus covers or magazine art, and where his artistic (programming and music is not so much an art but a science on the C64) influences are. Plus Oliver is not getting any younger. I just feel the questions should have been offered to all five anxious guys and not just Ben, Archer and Darrell. But I think you guys do amazing work here and Andrew Fisher really knows his stuff! So thanks for recording this so we all got to hear their stories.

R.I.P Archer, Ben, Oliver, and Roger - All now in the great 1980's London computer show after party in the sky... To all the other C64 Legends of the entire scene, be it coders, graphics artists, musicians, or magazine writers, start looking after yourselves guys, some of you I have had the pleasure of working with, some of them not, but everyone in the creative side of the industry in that era of the games industry were generally awesome people. To the well-known characters at the publishers though... keep smoking the cigarettes and stop stealing our oxygen soon! Especially you Stuart Bell and Tim Langdell... An elephant never forgets.. That is unless you pay me what you owe me!! :o)

When you get such a group of people together, at least be so respectful to get the technical stuff right. The audio is terrible because you couldn't be bothered to prepare yourselves for the event.

Too many greys+browns in the palette = useless coder using the 1kb multicolor character based mode and useless artists unable to pick better palette choices. Decent coders and decent artists did not make dull grey/brown games.
