Ever since the initial launch of the Common Motor Shockwave for the CB350, we have been working to bring our system to the CB175 / CB200 family of motorcycles. After 3 years of R&D and over 10,000 real road miles of testing, we are proud to present to you the CB175 / CB200 Shockwave Electronic Ignition System. The Shockwave replaces ignition points and condenser for the Honda CB175, CL175 Scrambler, CB200, or CL200 Scrambler series of motorcycles. Never change or adjust points again. The Shockwave allows for more accurate and stable ignition timing which means your bike will start easier, and run smoother especially at idle speeds.

NOTES:
1) *Warranty is only valid if your CB175 / CB200 is running a Common Motor #3023 combo regulator rectifier (besides you should be running one anyway as it is the single best electrical upgrade you can do to your bike!). Early CB175 / CB200's do not have a voltage regulator and later bikes that are equipped with one are very prone to failure. A voltage spike from a defective original (or non-existent) voltage regulator can potentially damage the electronic components of the Shockwave. Hence our requirement for a new unit to be in place to avoid such damage.
2) The Shockwave will work with stock ignition coils with a minimum resistance of 3.5 ohms. If you want to put on a fresh coil on select it from the option parts. A new set of CB175 spark plugs or CB200 spark plugs will round out the package.

I could not be happier with the shockwave ignition system. It was everything I needed including step by step installation instructions and diagrams. The CB175 is running better than it ever did with the points and condensers I had on it before. Also I really appreciate how much electronic ignition simplified the Timing process. Thanks CMC for offering such great products for the vintage Honda Twins.

Great instructional video. The posi-locks and posi-taps work well, but I'd probably buy some vintage style connectors instead, to keep all the wiring uniform. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to that stuff. It's nice how easy this unit is to install.

Totally! We include the posi-locks to allow for a solid, tool free install that way nothing else needs to be purchased. If you have factory style bullets and a set of crimpers they'll be just as reliable and look great.

I've had this on my CB200 for about 3 weeks now and it's been running fantastic. Haven't been able to ride it much since it's about 300F year round in Houston but from what I have seen from it, it's the best few hundred bucks I've put into the bike.

Great video as always. Your valve adjustment and timing videos helped me a ton on my cb200 just a few weeks ago, that and a carb clean and it's never revved out stronger or started so easily. Glad I did, previous owner had everything out of wack. When I get through everything else on the bike (brakes and forks rebuild), this ignition will probably be my first upgrade.

I just finished up some top end work on my 73 CL175, now I'm having some ignition problems! The gremlins don't quit. Thinking about just buying this and being done with it.

i have a 1975 cb200t i have this installed and cant et the timing correct when i rotate the cam the light comes on perfectly at f but i cant get it to turn off at F please help

I believe the CD125 uses a 6v volt electrical system so unfortunately no.
