Cast and creatives of NBC's Community gather at PaleyFest LA 2011 to celebrate their show. Danny "Abed" Pudi is a treasure. He must be protected at all costs. He has great chemistry with pretty much every co-star (most of them do tbh) and you can tell it's genuine and not forced. Love this show

What happened with Donald (as far as I know) was really unfortunate. But, I don't think it was always like this. Of course he is an old man, he probably has ego thanks to his 80s era but I am sure he was not such bad person all the time. Plus, I think the drama with Dan behind the scenes was not one-sided as well. The cast is probably disappointed as well since if you watched the vulture fest they are all stayed silent when Dan started to talk trash about Chevy.

I definitely think Dan Harmon is a genius and Community and Rick and Morty are two of the best shows of all time, but with that does come ego and I think Chevy wanted Dan to listen more to how he saw the character rather than constantly just trying to make Pierce a terrible human to the bone.

@@mmyilmazyurt8666 he’s had a reputation for being unprofessional and combative throughout his whole career, as far back as the first SNL season and on movies too. He’s said some really fucked up stuff to people, if you look into it you’d be appalled. It’s a shame because I really enjoyed him as Pierce and if he put his ego aside his character could have had so much growth in season 4.

I was so confused when he anounced "anthony russo" instead of "the russo brothers", I genuinly thought that joe wasn't invited, then he called him and I realised at that time people didn't see them as an entity (wachowski sisters, safdie brothers etc)

If there is another season, Dan Harmon should play a recurring character. He is pretty funny, and also fits the bill of batshit crazy teachers/professors. Or he could play the Dean's new husband.

Chevy has funny moments in this panel, but his main problem is that in any given moment, he'll make one or two more jokes than he needed to. And he definitely said something really awkward at some point, because there's a clear edit.

When he does his blowing his nose bit he usually references someone famous for cocain use. You know, making fun of how their nose is fucked. He does it in "norm macdonald has a show" and references John belushi. So maybe he had a unnecessary dark turn that they decided to cut

I feel more connected with Chevy Chase after watching this video. He is a true comedian and really loved his character and felt bad being left out. As another person who has been left out of things his life, I kinda relate to him

And kids, that's how Raphael Bob-Waksberg - who was obiviously in the audience - had first realized the missing part of his half human half animal world tv show: Jeff's dad as the main character. 3 years later the show is a hit on Netflix.

Sure, Chevy Chase may be an older gentleman with some outmoded mannerisms and preconceived notions in regards to how things are "meant to function", which reflect in his way of approaching the business side of Hollywood (hence his poor reputation among those he's recently worked with)- however, Chase has always been a naturally funny actor with an inveterate wherewithal for comedic timing. You should watch some of his early stuff, if you haven't.

It might just be a coincidence, but Jim Rash getting announced second (between the producer and the writer/creator of the show) is so cool considering how great his character became in seasons 4-6. Edit: and whoever sat Yvette next to Chevy probably got in a lot of trouble. She can’t even pretend not to be disgusted every time he opens his mouth.

24:00 Garett asks Danny Pudi about the Christmas stop-motion animated episode and whether or not, in his opinion, was going to depress the viewers. 26:10 Right after Mr. Pudi stops his 2-minute monologue about how heartwarming the episode AND the audience response (about the episode and the series in general) was, Chevy Chase makes a fart sound. What an incredible timing, from unapologetically comedic man - too much for his own sake, unfortunately.
