Community works to restore a century-old spring in Tampa

Ай бұрынLocated off of Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa, Fred Ball Park was once known as Palma Ceia Spring Park. More than a century ago, the spring was known for its healing powers with people flocking to it to bathe in its waters. But decades later, the spring is not in good shape.

People......RUIN.....EVERYTHING. It makes me SICK to my stomach. And then a person like this fine lady comes along, even in her old age, willing to do what she can to fix things. I wish her all the luck.

Wall Spring in Tarpon Springs is a well kept park that was also used decades ago as a therapeutic spa.

Dream on, for the same reason nobody swims in the Hillsborough river: The spring water is polluted from Tampa.

There's dozens of reasons Nobody swims in the Hillsborough river. Mostly because there's no lack of bull alligators (8-10+ footers) 😂
