Footage of rail traffic at the now closed Chelas halt on the 'Linha do Cintura' railway line in Lisbon (Lisboa) Portugal. CP Lisboa Suburban trains served the station until 2015. In 2023 both platforms still remain and very little has changed since its closure. The footage in this video was filmed after the morning rush hour and features lots of Suburban (Suburbano) 2300 and 2400 trains. Long distance CP Longo Curso Intecity and Alfa Pendular trains are included in the video. The station is located at the junction between the 'Linha do Cintura' and 'Concordância de Xabregas' branch line to Lisboa Santa Apolónia.

A new station is due to be built some meters ahead in Olaias, with the name of Chelas-Olaias, creating a new connection with the Metropolitano de Lisboa Red Line. Great compilation, as always! Greetings

@@Affonso78 Looks like the current platforms will be demolished and 4 new platforms built near the multicolored metro bridge.

As unidades 2309 e 2318 são as únicas (por agora) que foram renovadas já pela segunda vez na sua história. Eu já vi o interior e fiquei impressionado!

@@transporte4099Vão e também têm faróis novos. A minha primeira viagem na 2318 foi caótica porque estava a avariar. Se o maquinista ligava o ar condicionado o comboio tremia desalmadamente, o compressor quase foi abaixo 2 a 5 vezes e fiz 2 paragens mais longas em Sete Rios e Monte Abraão, qual foi o problema? Portas fechadas numa onda de calor e sem ar condicionado. Eu quase desmaiei devido ao calor ali dentro. Felizmente a minha primeira viagem na 2309 foi bem melhor. Têm o interior com um padrão amarelo e um tipo de cor creme nas paredes e um padrão semelhante ás 3500 mas são gotas coloridas em vez de pontos.
