Same, in act1 I kinda went along with it due to how Sh described the religion and due ti me not knowing anything about D&D gods, then I got to act 2 and was like “girl, are you literally insane? Do you actually pray to this monster of a goddess?”

@lyntonfleming I don't think it's bugged so much as it's just not finished. I do think BG3 is a good game, but it isn't finished for the amount of interactions and combinations of scenarios it presents. This is made obvious by the fact that they're STILL releasing story updates.

@zambekiller Not always, if after you meet your butler you find and eat the Noblestalk, then a memory will appear where Urge “surgically played” with a “living” person and quite successfully, which is not surprising, Urge is a rather “good” surgeon and he is excellent knows the anatomy of bodies so that the “personality” remained to live as long as possible, in the end he even has the medicine skill by default.

I really wish you could confront shadow heart about this shit in act 2 because she says some fucked up things. Shes not horrified at this scene, and she doesn't care at all about all of the men, women, and CHILDREN, who were driven mad and killed by the curse (and by shar) in the area. All she can think about is how shar loves her by making her immune to the curse. I feel like the game coddles shadow heart tbh

It’s supposed to demonstrate just how deeply Shart is truly brainwashed. She shows things like compassion, thoughtfulness, etc when it just kind of comes out naturally but other than that it’s SHAR SHAR SHAR - even as her contradictions become more and more pronounced. Idk if you’ve ever known anyone who’s gotten mixed up in a cult or anything in that general domain but this is pretty much how people act. Cognitive dissonance who?

@@alch3myst I get all of that, luckily I was able to get one of shadow hearts good endings and help her. I just really wish the player could press shadow heart more about the fucked up shit she advocates or ignores ://. Cause I personally, would have been freaking out at some of the things she says and does.

As a vengeance paladin I did not even bother trying to succeed the intimidation/persuasion checks to convince them to off themselves (like I did with the other two Thorms) because I wanted to purify these abominations personally.

@@tiph3802 “Non-Invasive Procedure.” The description is to “Kill the Surgeon before he performs surgery on you in combat”; what they don’t specify is that you have to actually be in combat to get the achievement. Killing him without fighting him at all doesn’t count (but it should).

I never got Karlach's interaction and I wish I did! 😂 It is the best! I didn't understand Lae'zel's reaction though... I'm on my Lae'zel romance playthrough and I heard her say it, but... does she _approve_ of this senseless torture? Or merely states the fact? Because after I had a deeper look into her character by romancing her, she's not a callous person at all. First half sounds like she's condemning him, but the second half... Yeah... Dubious, I'd say.

So to be clear the remedy Shar proposes is to feel pain so much that you end up either dying or dissociating and not feeling / caring anymore… and the fact that Shadowheart thinks it’s a good answer… as someone raised in a cult by a sociopath this is really on point. And very dumb.
