I love that while Shadowheart and Lae'zel never actually grow to LIKE one another, they do clearly hold each other in high regard by the end of the game.

I actually think they do. they have a mutual respect and participate in banter as soon as you actually enter the mountain pass tbh.

it's so refreshing to see companions in an RPG actually *care* for each other like this, most of the time in games like these they barely can stand each other

"pain is a promise - that all our enemies blows have not killed us and will be heaped back upon their heads tenfold." minsc may be dumb but he is so wise (maybe thanks to Boo). His 15 wisdom really shows in this because it was what minsc said that convinced me that saving her parents was the right choice despite the parents begging her to let them go. i was like YES minsc.

if she can endure it, yeah it's a happy ending for sure. I feel for the parents too I, on the other hand, have terrible pain tolerance so somebody will surely die. One painless death on the house, thank you very much xD@@ZaimGamePlay

I wonder how she decides whether to save her parents or not; I let her decide their fate as well, telling her the same "you don't need me to tell you what is right", and she decided to end their life and to live free of the curse. There is no right choice here, of course, so I wouldn't even be upset if she decides it somewhat randomly, but still

I disagree. Saving her parents is the better result in my opinion. If she kills her parents then Shar gets one final laugh at the pain she causes Shadowheart. If Shadowheart saves her parents, then all the pain is is a cruel, spiteful bitch of a Goddess throwing a tantrum because she lost her game.

@@richardwarnercool1 iirc it was said that the pain Shar's curse inflicts is quite maddening to Shadowheart -- that she might not be able to bear it later on, when her parents die of old age (which could be what Shar ultimately wants -- to show Shadoheart that her sacrifice for her parents is futile, they will be dead anyway and she will still be hers in pain). Otherwise I can't imagine why would she ever choose to not save her parents of her own volition. I really, really can't say that her choice is wrong, be it saving parents or letting them go to Selune. Only that both are clearly extremely painful choices to make. Besides, Shar really lost the moment Shadowheart chose not to kill Nightsong. She can't even claim Shadowheart's parents anymore: they stay with her even in death. :)

Hmmm you outcome it’s really different from mine like, i let he decide, after she hearing parent wwishes and she choose to let them go (selunite tav btw) i wonder what made ShadowHeart to choose this way
