Hi Axel, thank you for such good and detailed video! 👏 The payslip comparison is really helpful. But I'm not sure I understood why with 284€ one gets maximum savings in in social security? 🥺 And if one needs puts more than 284€? (For example because one realized only in the middle of the year that the company was offering a company pension..😅) Thank you very much 🙏

As usual - excellent video, Axel! By the way, that 69 joke - never gets old! Now here are few questions: 1. Is it wise to take company pension at all if I know, for sure, that I would not retire in Germany? Cannot I get the pension worldwide? 2. My company provides company insurance but through another, independent (middleman) company. And this company offers insurance product of another large company (Allianz Direct Insurance). Is it possible to by-pass this middleman (legally) and get the contract from Allianz directly?

Thank you very much for your kind words. 1. Glad to hear that someone else appreciates these 69 jokes as much as I do. 2. Most company pensions should also pay you when you retire abroad (at least the good ones). 3. This depends whether your company has a contract with the middleman. If they do, you most likely have to take what he is offering. Your company knows the answer to that question (probably HR). /Axel

Could you make a video on the VBL pension scheme ? I have checked their official webpage but the information there is so confusing and nothing is clear in terms of calculations. For example, what is the benefit of VBLExtra, what is the disadvantage to VBLKlasik ?

Great questions. We have to dig into VBL as a pension company & their different pension schemes first tho - which will take time. So as a quick fix you might want to contact them directly asking questions on their pension offers.

@@PerFinEx As far as a know, it's a mandatory pension scheme for public servants. So, I thought you might have information about it. Of course, I can always contact them for more info but information from non-biased person is always appreciated. Keep the good work!

Great video as usual! Do we need to report direct insurance contributions in our yearly tax declarations? I declare via Wundertax but not sure if and where it should go. Also, do we get (more) money back?
