The fake Shure SM58 is a very good one! I really wish it had another branding than trying to imitate the real one...

Interestingly enough the inner ring detail on the bottom where the xlr plugs in which signifies a fake SM58 is the same detail which signifies a genuine Beta 58

Well, that's damn weird. I have a Shure SM58 with no on/off switch, it has all the markings of the real thing, except it IS a mess inside where they put all that damn glue in there to keep the transformer in place. All the markings are right, wires, everything...except a few discrepancies...not sure if I have the real deal or not. Oh well, it seems to work just fine, it's balanced properly at the XLR jack and sounds really good through my effects processor, PA and mixer that goes to my studio recording computer system. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...my Grandpa always used to say...lol.
