Comparing 4Ground, Knuckleduster, and Sarissa Precision MDF Old West Buildings

I have been working on my Old West buildings. I have 3 manufactures that I have gotten my buildings from. Here are some thoughts on what you get from each Manufacturer.

It's wild to think that so many people are into this hobby, providing the opportunity for so many people to be employed fulfilling this need. It must be a tight little market.

Awesome! Quite helpful. I’ve only got some Gamecraft Miniatures ones that are just fine. Probably closer to Sarissa than 4Ground.

Fellow lover of old west and old west gaming her! This has a rib-thank you for doing this video. I’ve a ton of family in historic Northfield, MN. (Bank robbery of the James and Younger game). I wonder what i will play first😄! Assuming i get the gumption you got to finally get your game going.

4Ground is a English company. Best MDF buildings out there. SP are nice but they do have production issues.

The largest 4Ground old west building is the Sassy Gal Hotel/Saloon

Did the Dead Man's Hand Station come with a section of train track for the back?

MY Main problem with most of the MDF models of Wild West structures is all the wood planks are perfectly straight. I have visited many Ghost towns here in Colorado and no wood planks used are straight .

I agree that they look a little to clean but I don't know if I would use a 100 year old ghost town as the baseline. I have been around a lot of old buildings. None are straight but that is because wood warps and changes over time. When they were built they were often built with the same care that we have today. Amazing really as they did not have the aid of tools that we have today. That we even have ghost towns or old cabins and barns still standing is a testament to their work and skill.

@@Aaronfromprojectwargaming You are correct but they still are too perfect looking, but having done handmade one it a massive time saver.

@@williamdaniel4081 for sure. I have mixed feelings about what they have done and what they are doing for the hobby.
