If u use some tweezers, u can take the cushion out of the component and flip it upside down. All the foundation will sink to the bottom, so flipping it around gets u more product. Also I have heard that Surratt Dew Drop foundation is a dupe for the Chantecaille cushion (I only have the Surratt so not sure if that’s the case, but Dew Drops is gorgeous).

I have all chantecaille base products listed. I have medium/tan skin tone but with lots of PIH that are very dark in color. The cushion can build to full coverage with a flat top brush and still looks great. I don’t have to conceal and you cannot see my hyperpigmentation through it. Love that stuff. Hate the priiiiiiiiiiice.

Your video was very helpful in alot of ways. I just came across Chantecaille online, and at 57yrs old, I've been a long time user of Chanel,Lancome,Estee Lauder, and grew up with Covergirl, Loreal, Maybeline.. In recent years I've been using Tarte BB creme due to the high SPF and coverage. But we all change. Chantecaille has no high 20-30SPF products, but I contacted the company and they are terrific and afterasking me to send photos of me, they sent very nice sample jars for the Future Skin in 5 shades to experiment. Good stuff. And honestly very old fashioned coverage, and technique which I truly find refreshing. Everything came in a jar. It's fine.I grew up with bottles, jars, no applicators originally. As to the sponge version, in your video it needs to be pressed into the color then pressed in sections along the face, THEN you can sort of spread/blend it. You were dragging it which doesn't doesn't offer the coverage the product is capable of in this form. Chanel, and other high end companies have had this compact coverage makeup method for years. Even the other items are repetitive. But the 'goldilocks' one is absolutely the best. And as a tip, I use a face oil first under all my makeup. It really helps create a smoother application. I recently tried all three of these and had a different take. I’m 52, with super dry skin, and thought the cushion looked the best. The blur made it seem like it had more coverage. When I tried the original Future Skin, I couldn’t see it at all. (The same way you described the cushion). I just kept putting it on, peering in the mirror, saying ‘WTF?’ It just doesn’t have a finish like the cushion to me. This is unfortunate, because why does the most expensive thing always have to be great? 😭

Just Skin tinted moisturizer comes in the shade Aura as well. I’m a redhead with very light skin and I like the coverage. I don’t like much heavier coverage than a tinted moisturizer. Good video.

I have just got myself 2 samples from Mecca Just Skin and Future Skin & couldn't make up my mind which one to get...I was swaying towards the Future Skin, so will definitely be going for this. And thank you for mentioning Elate Uplift Foundation, I have never heard of this brand before but I can see that it is a Canadian Brand and luckily enough it is available in Australia...so will have to try this one out too.

Sorry. The cushion is my favorite for when I want my skin to look amazing. Second choice is the gel foundation. My only complaint is the jar. For me who drops things, it’s a disaster waiting to happen. I don’t care about SPF because I absolutely never rely on makeup to perform that task. The Chantecaille concealers are a pass. Enjoyed your take on Chantecaille.

I’ve tried both Future Skin Cushion and Real Skin both in Alabaster. I love them both. I’m over 70 and take excellent care of my skin. Monthly facials and high quality, medical grade skin care products. People cannot believe my age. But lately….the problem is the products seem to “roll” on my skin. Looks like products balling up? Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but for the amount of money I’m spending it shouldn’t be happening. Any thoughts? Thank you for your fabulous channel!

I have skin more in your mom's age range (60) - normal/ dry & I'm watching chantecaille videos & still not sure. I prefer light/ natural coverage - but want to be able to have a more "flawless" with med coverage that would last for a night out? Do you think one of their foundations could be more buildable...ie: could cushion or the powder compact be applied over the gel for better coverage? I have had the tinted moisturiser for the last year and I really like it but wondered about trying either the cushion or the future skin instead. Do you still stand by these statements in this video or have your views changed since? Or is there something similar in another brand that you’d maybe recommend or suggest as an alternative? I have been testing foundations & searching for years as my skin is just weird, sensitive and diva-ish (add that with my perfectionistic curse). Can you PLEASE let me know if you have a recommendation for a powder & concealer that would work beautifully with the Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation? (I haven’t tried the foundation yet, but after your review I think it would work perfectly for my skin & needs.) Its one thing to find a good foundation, but another to incorporate products that would work well with it. I assume one of your favourite blushes, bronzers and contours would work well if the foundation if set correctly. I would highly appreciate any advice.
