Hilariously, AUF Bond, while he looks like five men combined into one, he's actually based on a real British actor. He was also going to be the model for Nightfire if they couldn't get Brosnan, and shows up as male party guests in the castle.
@NebLleb3 ай бұрын
Actually, said actor admitted that they created a "Generic Bond" for AUF.

I've only played 007 Nightfire on my PC way back in 2003. Still have both discs to this day. My first James Bond FPS game. Got to play it with my 2nd older brother RIP back in the day and he became quite a fanatic to the game, even waited for me to get back from school so we could play each one a mission.

this is one of those games that hits hard on the nostalgia. I remember not only playing the campaign quite a lot, but also the local multiplayer with my friends. the bots made it the best of the 007 multiplayers because of that

Best movie game ever made alongside Everything Or Nothing. Still plays like a dream 22 years later.

Everything or Nothing always gets overshadowed by Nightfire, but I think it may have the superior campaign. Both are great though (and Agent Under Fire ain't too shabby either)
@WH2503983 ай бұрын
@@Quintingent It does. What keeps me coming back to Nightfire though, is the gunplay, and multiplayer. They are both amazing games... I think I consider Everything or Nothing the better game, but Nightfire has that pick up and play factor, and the replayability.

I'm a madlad and own all three. Love this game, lots of good times playing with my siblings! I kind of miss how PC versions of games tended to differ from the console versions. Gave us more variety and stuff to compare at school with friends

Nightfire multiplayer on PC was the best one for it's time and is still fun today. It reminds me of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault multiplayer.
@autosaver3 ай бұрын
Note, the PC version used the original outline intended for the console version. The console devs ran out of time to implement all the levels leading to cut levels, story changes, and removal of gadgets. The cutscenes originally used AuF placeholder model which is why the GBA version uses it sometimes. Early promo trailers of the console version have this placeholder as well. AuF and Nightfire were created by different teams but they borrowed concepts from AuF. The car sections of both games were made by Need for Speed development team but the Nightfire car levels suffered as the NfS team was busy at the time.

The funniest comparison between the two is after the heli fight on the ski lift. In the PS2 version, 007 falls and lands on Nightshade, but in the PC version he falls beside her and ROLLS ONTO HER!!! Nightfire is peak PS2 couch multiplayer and I still have matches with my mates to this day.

These 007 games on the sixth generation era were far better than Goldeneye. You actually did a lot of spy stuff with your gadgets instead of just shooting.
@NebLleb3 ай бұрын
Agent Under Fire and NightFire just felt like natural evolutions of GoldenEye's gameplay, and also far more successful at letting you be James Bond. EDIT: Oh, and the Action Adventure games that came after (Everything or Nothing and From Russia with Love) were also brilliant. The late 1990s and 2000s were basically the golden age of James Bond games, weren't they?
@oneblacksun3 ай бұрын
They probably just aged better. Stuff like how the graphics and voice acting are readily apparent, but there's also to consider how the upgraded hardware allowed them to have more intricate level design, complex missions and objectives, and the little touches and details that just wasn't possible with a max of 64mb on a cartridge.

This was a very fun video to watch. I loved playing this on my GC. It was always a toss up between playing this game or Time Splitters 2. The PC version I got to play last year. While I don't think it's as good as the console version it was still fun to play a different version I never played before. The GBA version is a very ambitious game for the system. Maybe a little too ambitious. I would like to see in the future, Everything or nothing be talked about. Again I played the GC version as a kid and back in the late 2000's I got the GBA game and what was really cool was seeing how both games supported the GBA link cable. Your GBA turned into a “Q Transmitter” which showed your time, kills and even helped you when you got close to an objective you would hear M's voice. By this time I already had a PSP but the GBA was still a fun portable system to play on road trips and at the time where PSP games cost almost as much as a new game on a home console. In comparison, I got everything or nothing loose and other GBA games loosely for peanuts are some of my fondest memories as a pre teen. :)

As much as I love the main versions, the portable ones are the most fun to me. The amount of GB and DS games that shouldn't exist but do never cease to fascinate me

We had a flurry of games from 1997 - 2005 . Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough , 007 Racing, Agent Under Fire, Nightfire , Everything Or Nothing, Goldeneye:Rogue Agent & From Russia With Love (Everything Or Nothing is my favourite) That’s 9 Games in 8 years !! To then have 4 games released over last 18 years is really depressing. There is no denying Activision handled the franchise poorly. Hoping IO Interactive can resurrect it.

I remember the multiplayer on the GameCube version being a lot of fun and the GBA version was really difficult. I played on real hardware using a device called a Super Card which is like an early everdrive with less compatibility with some games but with built in save state support and even playing that way was hard.

Pierce Brosnan made out quite well having his voice and likeness be part of the game. There are many actors and actresses that have used their face in a videogame that were complete flops. He will be remembered in cinematic as well as gaming history.

Multiplayer on consoles was also capable of being single player by setting all other characters to CPU. Once I cleared the story I spent my time on multiplayer, which eventually got funnier by fully randomizing the weapon load outs.
