From my experience of playing as a Byzantine vassal, winning the election for the empire, and then restoring the roman empire, I have learned that when you decide to run military campaigns in the middle east, you should try and only have a few byzantine mainland vassals that hold kingdom titles, give them the small clan vassals such as counts or dukes to those mainland vassals. Your mainland vassals should be doing small holy wars for more land while you use your byzantine troops for kingdom level holy wars that get granted to your children that will not win the election

I would advise you to try theocratic vassals. They are by far the strongest type of vassal in my opinion. If you don't already lnow how to create one I can add a comment with a youtube link.

Hi! This might be out of context but I would suggest you to play a long video. You have such a great voice to narrate an entire journey of a certain story and play a tall game or probably play a hard game that we would think would be impossible. Does Clan still have that annoying mechanic where I need alliance with my vadsal or marry our children otherwise he hates me?

i think clan wins feudal when purely focusing on gold income, with the zakat decree based from my experience. levies are worthless if you have gold to spend on men at arms and knights.

I think clan is way better because I have like no issues with opinion and still make plenty of money

As a player levies are not important, except in a blue moon IF you need meadshields and can't recruit mercenaries or holy orders. However, having clan vassals with a certain tax collection you get up to 25% tax without a vizar. Furthermore, with the new clan mechanics, it's not only easier to keep holdings and keep your realm together, you can also steer house members to focus on economics, development, etc, etc. Clan government, with some steering and planning, is far superior to feudal in almost every way IF you know what you're doing. Do love the fact you take a peek in it but have to point out that you did not many thing in consideration leading to your conclusion, which I believe is easily refuted. Grtz

I prefer clan 100% you have way fewer issues to deal with. No problems with uprisings etc
