24°16,08N / 76°31,47W Compass Cay - Bubble Bath - Exumas
Compass Cay offers several beautiful anchorages, depending on the wind directions. It is also famous for the marina with the many nurse sharks where you can swim with. This cay is the only one which is owned by a Bahamian, Tucker. He was offerd many millions to sell it, but he refused.
On the northern end there is a spectacular lagoon which is called Rachel´s Bubble Bath. At high tide waves are splashing over a rock into the basin. It is like in a washing machine! You can easily walk to it barefoot from the beach.
--- I am sailing with my Gemini 105MC catamaran NIRVANA every year to the central Bahamas, the island chain of the Exumas. In the summer hurricane season I leave my boat in Florida in the Indiantown Marina near Lake Okeechobee and fly home to Germany.
