Speaker: April Wensel
As developers, we spend a lot of time on machines, but it’s important to remember that we are humans working with humans to solve problems for-you guessed it-humans. If we try to act like cold, hard machines, we end up with unproductive team conflict, socially harmful products, and even burnout. In this talk, you’ll learn how to stay connected with your humanity by practicing compassion in software development. Compassion isn’t just something soft and fuzzy. It is a powerful skill that helps us manage stress more effectively, collaborate more smoothly, write better code, and ultimately create products that have a more positive impact on the world.
