In this video, I discuss the newly released science fiction book How High We Go In the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu. While this book starts off slowly, and I spend a lot of time discussing the issues I had with the prose, the compassion around death and loss really struck me. It’s a perfect book for the time, one of isolation and disconnections, and I took to heart the hopeful ending. We can get through this. We can be better. Together.
