@@calebhobson4718 watch Evan shanks video about it. He kinda explains it pretty good. Basically even for regular guys just to mod out cars that aren’t race cars they will classify them as turning them into “race cars” by just adding a exhaust or suspension I guess

From tires, to travel, sleeping arrangements, parts, the labor for the people who work for him. This event could’ve easily cost him 5-10k

More then the $3500 he won lol. I'm sure sponsorship helped but as far as paying the crew and travel that likely came out of his pocket. I'm sure this was all for seat time purposes which pays off.

@@Electricnick exactly, it's so much more than fuel, tires and wear and tear on the car. You've gotta pay to transport a handful of people, pay to house them, feed and water them and pay them for being your crew. Not to mention the truck and trailer driver, diesel, wear and tear on truck and trailer plus all the maintenance done on these vehicles. The s15 obviously costs more to run than the e36, but the s15 is a sponsored car so the costs for it equal out somewhere. Advertising is advertising and klutch kickers is getting pretty big. All in all I'd guess it was $5k if they stayed in a "normal" hotel and ate at normal places. Regardless $3500 isn't covering it but the testing and experience are more than worth it.

He most likely gets airbnb's which is much more cheaper than a hotel and if not it's not like he's staying in some 5 start hotel either. Also if he's paying you as an employee then it's not his job to pay for your food as well. When you go to your work does your employer pay for you lunch? No. His only other expense is diesel which is maybe 200-400$ max for a 13-14 hour turn around trip. Did he spend money yes but not nearly as much as the numbers i'm seeing ppl throw out there...
