Honda Hornet 750 2023 review
Hi there folks! We are back for a highly anticipated review, a motorcycle that brought back to life one of the famous names of the past: the Honda Hornet, in its new 2023 750 cc version!! For many, this comes almost as an insult regarding the previous models of the Hornet, for others it is a sign of modernity. No matter the reasons, it is an opinion-dividing machine, and at the end of this review, you will be able to determine in which side you are!
Enjoy!
Thank you for your continued support, if you like the video, please leave a like and give me your opinions and comments on this machine, and do not forget to subscribe to get the last updates on all our crazy videos!

interesting how 100hp is entry level. now i undertsand why there is people flying over guardrails everyday
@RodstersTVEN
@RodstersTVEN Жыл бұрын
That is a very good point indeed! Of course, 100 HP could not be considered an "entry-level" machine, far from it. Considering the Honda Hornet a "mid-size entry level standard motorcycle" is more dependent on other things, like the price point, the equipments (chassis, braking, suspension) that makes it a direct comparison with the likes of the Z650, the MT-07, etc... Ride safe!
@nicerides9224
@nicerides9224 Жыл бұрын
Was about to say the same thing. Maybe on a racetrack it could be considered entry level but on the streets 750cc can get you into trouble quickly if you aren't careful. When I started riding 750's were just considered big bikes and the superbikes races were 750's as well.
@morganil93
@morganil93 Жыл бұрын
I believe it is supposed to be interpreted as a entry level bike in the midsize segment, not an entry level bike for beginners. Remember that the z900, mt09, triumph etc are also considered midsize.

@@RodstersTVEN And of course no amount of crank plane diversion can take away that this is just a parallel twin engine. These are CKD Honda's and not Made in Japan hence the low price and features. I have seen them and their fit and finish isn't very good.

This is my first time seeing the new Hornet in this color. I now realize that a Hornet doesn't really look like a Hornet when it isn't in a metal tone. (I think we only got silver/gunmetal/bronze here). I thought it was the exhaust placement, but I really think it's the color. In this color, this looks like a Hornet (I kind of prefer the number names used in the US). On the side stand, I see the "meanness" of the design. I'll be interested in seeing how the design evolves and the what retro version comes out. Yes, this resembles the CB500F...but that bike resembles the CB1000F. Hondas lool like Honda. Who woulda guessed.

It is A2 compatible IF the dealer restricts the power. The bike is not by default limited to the A2 category.

Like that EXHAUST - bike looks fine and it has upside front forks. How does it handle compared to the Yamaha MT-07?

I was wondering if the “deluxe”seat is more comfortable than the original seat, because you didn’t mention it in the review 😊

from what i can tell, it isn't. It seems to me like it's just a different cover for the same padding (the honda website just mentions the cover and not the padding too).

Of the four bikes you mentioned the Suzuki would be the one I'd buy. To me the GSX 8S is by far the best looking bike of the four. I also like the Hornet's appearance/performance/value and it possibly would be my first choice if it weren't for the fact it's not currently available for sale in the US. The cost of Suzuki's inclusion of the quick shifter as standard equipment and the brands typical lower shipping charges should also be factored in when comparing retail pricing.
@gsm_liv8980
@gsm_liv8980 Жыл бұрын
If you add in the Honda's quickshifter the price would still be nowhere near the 8S
@itzFYEB
@itzFYEB Жыл бұрын
i don't know about the US, but in europe the bikes are not that close, 7990€ for the hornet (+284,66€ for the quickshifter), 8900€ for the gsx 8s, so even with the quickshifter the hornet is still about 600€ cheaper, plus it is 12 kgs lighter (26 lbs) and it has 10 hp more, as for the looks, i didn't see the gsx 8 s in person, but i saw the hornet and i gotta say, it doesn't look half bad (definetely much better than in photos).

Agree that the Hornet offers more for your money. After looking at quite a few more hornet video's I've decided I'm waiting for Honda to release the Hornet in the US though pricing is secondary to the Hornets performance characteristics. The Hornet looks like a more rowdy/fun bike which is exactly what I'm looking for!

After looking at a couple of dozen more Hornet videos it appears that the shape of the front light and to TFT pod add significant wind protection (according to several of the video testers) making the Hornet one of the most comfortable naked bikes at highway speeds. Probably won't change the minds of those who don't care for the Hornet's styling but I'm like you and appreciated her just the way she is and will happily accept this added benefit!

I really don't know why people are being so pedantic about the looks. As if we have never seen manufacturers ever make bikes that resemble each other relative to engine capacity and type. Personally I am not even especially fond of nakeds. But this one doesn't even look bad. Sure it's not the most eye catching bike but isn't by any means the worst either.

As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I’m not very fond of its looks but that is because I’m more into classic bikes instead of a transformer style or design, but there were some exceptions too. If I don’t look back to admire the motorcycle after I parked then its not for me, But I’m it’s a fun ride nonetheless.

I am cross shopping those two bikes for me next bike. I was leaning the Hornet because of the new engine parallel twin, but then saw the blacked out 650r and was pretty excited about that.

@@jeremymcleod9641 I've got the faired CBR650R , having stepped down from an S1000r. The 650 is more than enough for the road and a great bike . The 1000 was a touch pointless just for the road rider ( in the UK at least )
