This is a type of enzyme inhibition where the inhibitor binds the active site of the enzyme. As a result of this binding the Km value changes while the Vmax remains the same.

Great video .thanks this this wonderful piece. 5:05-5:15 doesn't seem mathematically right though But it's a great video. Watched one of you video on inhibition graph it was very helpful. Kindly check this video at that point. A/(b+c) is not equal to a/b +b/c

You are right the math is wrong here but only because the video is poorly explaining what should be happening To do a LWB plot the equation needs to be inverted so you now have 1/Vo = (Km(1+I/Ki)+[S]) / Vmax[S] Which can then be divided into 1/Vo = (Km(1+I/Ki)/ Vmax[S] + [S]/ Vmax[S] and then reduced to 1/Vo = (Km(1+I/Ki)/ Vmax[S] + 1/ Vmax So by failing to invert the equation at the beginning the video was incorrect and like you said A/(b+c) is not equal to a/b +b/c It should have been Invert A/(b+c) then (b+c)/A = b/A + c/A But this is a moot point when the whole competitive inhibition equation is fundamentally wrong as a chemical equilibrium for inhibitor binding can not provide any information on the effect of inhibition. 1+]I]ki = 1/(1-([I]/[I]+Ki)) So not only is this equation defining inhibition with a binding curve that says nothing about magnitude of inhibition its using an inverted binding curve that is quantifying the fraction of the enzyme population not bound by the inhibitor. That is exactly what is going on inhibitory theory is biased derivation that doesn't recognize the difference between a chemical equilibrium and the effect the inhibitors binding has on the enzyme. Enzyme Inhibition's fundamental flaw kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y62jdcVny7nMmX0.html

With reference to time what is the metric to express your E ES EI expression relative to a time metric? From these differing states? Maybe I missed something,... also will enzymatic oppression occur over all biological entities regardless of their overall state or will local dietary and chemical exposure, will it alter the enzymatic expression using time reference as the metric?

complicated question but yes expression changes with time and environment but unfortunately classic inhibition equations are not meant for time course analysis and only approximate the initial equilibrium established when the enzyme, substrate and inhibitor first come together.
