The new Cervélo Áspero gravel bike has many frame updates that enhance the ride quality to chase bigger and faster gravel routes. Can you see any off the bat? Cables are now tucked in the headtube for a sleeker profile and enhanced aero gains. The new Áspero also features frame tweaks designed for smoother riding and easier maintenance like lowered stays and standover height, wider tire clearance, and a threaded bottom bracket.

What was the maximum chain ring size on the previous aspero in a 1x? Also can you run the flip chip in rear position with 700c wheel to make bike more stable?

For the previous-gen it was Max 44T for 1x and 50T max for 2x. We didn't test it with the flip chip in the rear position so can't say what that would do to the handling.

Running the flip chip in the rearward position with 700c road wheels makes the Aspero wheelbase shorter, therefore less stable, more race bike.

@@3TZZZ only makes sense but they claim reward adds trail which will make it more stable? I’ve watched multiple videos on this and it still doesn’t make sense to me ..

For the Aspero-5, yes. On the regular Aspero (2013 & before) it wasn't an option.

I am 1.74 and i use cervelo aspero in 54 of the old version with 72 cm bottom bracket to seat

Gearhead Ian is 5'9" on a 54cm. Gearhead Jono is 6'1" on the 58cm.

nooo, we love short 420mm chainstays! Why go long!? You just lose traction and snappiness.

We haven't noticed any downsides. Plus the longer chainstay helps increase tire clearance!
