No, you don’t understand- I am OBSESSED with all of these. If a generation like this was released I would genuinely be blown away and so excited for it. Normally I have an obvious favorite of starters but I love all of these. Even the regional rodent is ADORABLE. Everything here is perfect.

These are really great! Once I saw Twug, I immediately thought of a Pokémon episode around the Pokémon, which would feature Ash trying to help a Twug get brave and evolve, maybe help it get strong enough to be part of a fighting gym. Keep up the dope work!

Ron is so amazing at pokemon, putting most of his spare time into being a true pokemon fan. He has so much imagination. just like in every generation there were designs or design elements that didn't appeal to me, BUT the backstories make each of them great regardless of their design. i absolutely love the thought you put into all of them and i have the overwhelming urge to draw 95% of these. there are so many designs i am in love with and i really appreciate your approach of staying close design wise to the animals they are based on. i really love designs that are easily recognized as the animal/creature they are based on. your pokemon have so much personality, the designs and backgrounds are thoughtful and the way you emulate the style and present all of them brings me joy. this is such a genuine project. bravo.

Grassasin is probably the coolest bug type I've seen

I love so many of these designs, but something I noticed was a reluctance to use the Normal type effectively. A lot of Pokémon in the dex either lose normal type entirely, are regional forms of normal types that get rid of it, or are dual type and are treated mainly as the other type more. I know Normal is hard to quantify in a design, but it can be just as exciting as the other types, and there’s a reason so many normal type Pokémon are so memorable, like Miltank, Tauros, Lopunny, Slaking, Wooloo, etc. Notable exception in Paraterra, which not only looks sufficiently fossil-y, but looks like the animalistic and neutral parts of Normal was the special part of the design rather than the dirt and mud of Ground.

Amazing work! Only thing I’d say, and this is pretty minor, is Porcimpole should keep Sheer Force as its hidden ability. Battle armor makes sense lore wise but it also makes its pre evolved form hit harder. Vivitess is also one of the coolest and most underrated designs of all of them. Love the colors and the idea of a fruit basket Pokémon is perfect!

Does anyone else realize that Ron totally called Legends Arceus? Asone explored the idea of Pokemon being violent and dangerous, and then game freak releases a game where Pokemon are feared!

For my team, I’ve thought bout this a lot. I would start off with Eleafant. Eleafant will become Precephant, a grass rock type. The grass rock type is super effective to water, ice, ground, flying, rock, bug, and fire which means the grass type has an advantage to the fire starter smolcalf. Then I would get grassasin, braediate, strutridge, dunkraft, and actite. All these Pokémon will cover every type, even covering some more than once.

I have two teams I would love to have in Asone. Firstly, my playthrough team: Precephant Barbaryena Terreflect Carbonk Putridome Braediate I'd also love to make a team centred around my favourite type: Ground, since there are so many brilliant Ground type Pokemon here.
