It was major hurdle for everyone to cover S&T . But you have solved it . Thank you . I request you to take fast session for S&T pyq from 2013-2023 in which we can revise, how to solve science and tech pyq with knowledge and tricks to solve them.

@ DR.UPSC , 3 parent baby is the phenomenon within the same species( not inter specie).Then it is considered as Gene editing rather than Genetic engineering.. Please clarify it.

I've a doubt sir. At 9.14, why are cloning and MRT( 3 parent baby) classified under the heading of genetic enfineering. During the process of cloning, only nucleus is transferd from any somatic cell for the purpose of translpanting genetic traits to the donor egg, there is as such no role of genes but whole of DNA is involved. In the case of MRT, Nucleus as the whole oraganelle from the egg cell of mother is transplanted into the donor egg with a healthy mitochondria, again there is no alteration at the gentic level but only at the organelle level. Moreover, all the transplantation occur among the same species right?

i have one doubt .in cloning topic u told donor will give the egg cell .but if a couple wants to have traits of the woman . in that case the nucleus will be taken from mothers somatic cell and how come the donor will give egg cell ??
