Really cool. I have been using an identical design of my own for years but with a smaller terrarium fogger. The one thing that consistently has sucked, is that type of humidity sensor. Condensation builds on it and inside it, leading to some wildly inaccurate readings over time. Near daily shaking/tapping out of any droplets is something that sorta works. Thankfully fungi have always been incredibly forgiving for me! Good luck with this product!

Ya, the sensors have their limitations. We find that they work and are accurate for much longer if you keep condensation at a minimum. Temp matters a lot, but in general, going over 90% humidity should be avoided.

I recommend that you install the exhaust fan in a vertical position, otherwise water may stagnate which would cause your fan to fail.

They work very well for collecting spores, we've seen it many times! And they're pretty easy to clean and reuse.

Do you recommend cleaning the plastic walls as part of your maintenance plan? If so, can you describe how it would be done (especially with product on the shelves).

Thank you for the question! Yes, you should clean between each fruiting cycle, or more frequently if there is significant spore build up. To clean the vinyl tent, here's what we recommend: Use a damp cloth and mild cleanser. DO NOT use bleach or abrasives. After cleaning it can also be sanitized by spraying with a 70% isopropyl alcohol solution inside and out. If you have product on the shelves and it's not a full post fruiting cycle clean, just use the damp cloth with mild cleanser and not the alcohol solution.

How do you filter the incoming air for the negative pressure fae fan? I don't see any holes in the tent for filters. Why not use positive pressure and a filter at fan air inlet?

Incoming air is not filtered, this is correct. If cleaner air in the space is desired, an external air purifier is needed or another intake fan installed. That said, since anything going into the tent should be colonized, filtered air isn’t a requirement. We find that directing the spores through a filter minimizing the ejection of spores into a living space with no filtration is best. If you wish, the BoomRoom can definitely be modified for positive pressure!

What is the best fan, mister, humidity settings for dung-loving mushrooms?

We recommend: fan on very low or intermittent with a cycle timer (on for 1 minute and off for 10 is enough). Humidity should be 85-90% 👍

It depends on which species you are growing. You can find the information on each product page, and each species will come with detailed instructions on where and how to cut the bag 🙂

I am going to order one of these the first of the month. Your website says PRE ORDER. can you tell me approximately how long i would have to wait after ordering it? One more thing, in this video, how are you growing the mushrooms? Meaning what type of grow kit so I know what to order? I am going to need help and advice LOL

I' m from sri lanka.our cuntry doesn' t have this lind of green houses in market..so I made by using wood..then I buy polythene to cover it..also I doesnt have enough money to get humidifier Can I use alternatives for it to control humidity..also can I use fan on my cpu..please give instructions

As with plants, the amazing thing about growing mushrooms is that it can be done 10,000 ways. Making your own fruiting room is awesome and not difficult if you have the principles down. Humidity is critical, but many folks out there don’t have humidifiers and high tech systems either, instead relying on the ambient humidity along with manual misting. @@NorthSpore can u use distilled water to extend the life of the humidifier. Or does distilled water not have any benefits for the mushrooms since it lacks minerals
