Back they went each disk had 3 episodes per disc and if had 4 episodes on a disk that was rare . Kids will never know 😂

It's still pretty much the only way to watch the whole series without cropping and the original soundtrack from the cartoon network broadcast.

Currently collecting these but in US copies. Mainly cuz this is the only set where you can watch the original dub as it aired on Toonami. All boxsets after this had new redubs.

You should look for the rock the dragon set, not exactly cheap but definitely the best version of what aired on Toonami

@@Aaa-vg4gc I have most of the ocean dub on DVD already which was why I didn't pick it up. I'm missing only 2 of them. Will definitely be much cheaper to get those than the rock the dragon set.

I liked the voices for Ocean Dub in the early episodes and funimation after the namek saga.

I remember seeing these , but on a vhs collection. If you collect all of them depending on what saga, it shows a picture on the side of the vhs

Yes! Totally remember thinking those were the coolest thing ever when I'd see them at a Suncoast! They were expensive as anything and finding the space for them would be a trick but they were really cool

These are Australian and New Zealand sets but you're right, they have become a bit expensive and hard to find now - although they do pop up on ebay now and then :)

I’m gonna collect the US singles myself, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wanna collect the Madman sets too. I have heard the Japanese version doesn’t show up on the non ocean discs until much later into the series but I’d have to check myself.

Yeah that's true for this set, you don't get the Japanese version until the Buu saga!

@@unboxingthepast oh dang, I knew it was later but not THAT later. I have heard the encoding is much better for those than the US singles, which while watchable, can get pretty crunchy at times

Yep they are! Well the first couple of sets are the Ocean Dub and then switch to the Funi Dub with the Falconer score just like when it originally aired 😀

They were the original funi home video release back in 2002-2004. Usually called DBZ singles or on the boxes 'Series One Collection one" etc. Original 4:3 aspect ratio.

Mostly on ebay but these ones are Australian and New Zealand releases so a bit more difficult if you're overseas - also becoming harder to find now too 😵
