@@NewWarOrder I am following the drywall series too. I am currently at the sanding stage. One tip I will give you is to make sure you don't have any thick ridges cuz they are a pain to sand. A thin ridge is okay but try to feather out all your edges especially inside corners

Hey this video series is awesome for two primary reasons. First, you obviously know what you are doing and you have a gift at communicating the content. Second, you have a solid video team that gets it right and makes sure we see and hear what you’re explaining. I’ve being producing instructional and promotional video programming for major international corporations for 37 years and this series was a breath of fresh air compared with so much of the stuff I see on KZfaq... The best you tube videos I’ve seen for Sheetrock installation, taping and applying drywall compound properly. He also provided some good tips for painting as well. The camera work is exceptional and he dumbs everything down so it is very easy to understand and replicate. I just finished a difficult drywall installation where I demolished the old tile walls in the bathroom but just needed to replace the lower half of the wall Sheetrock and didn’t have to touch the upper 4 feet of the wall. After demolishing the lower wall, I had gouges and brown ripped paper showing all along the seam of the wall on the bottom edge of the upper half so it looked very rough. Of course this involved taping old Sheetrock and new Sheetrock together as well as merging the upper coroners and lower corners together. These videos helped me tremendously and the job turned out perfect. My wife couldn’t believe the transformation. I took my time because during this quarantine there was no reason to rush with this job and it it our third bathroom.

Man, did I hit a home-run in finding your channel! I must have watched at least 10 videos! The hint on using the sheet-rock T-Square to cut without first marking the material was invaluable! I learned to work with someone like you, who liked things well done, with time, patience and common sense. I became like him after few years. The third layer of plaster is really needed, almost without sanding. Most professionals are in a hurry to apply only two coats, but then they spend a lot of time with the electric sander. Good tip on the metal corner bead nelow the 90 degrees. Keep up the good work.

I've really enjoy all of your videos. They are extremely helpful and all of your little tips and tricks make them my favourite on any subject you've covered so far. Keep up the fantastic work! Some topics I would love to see: - outdoor bar/kitchen/built in BBQ - pergolas/structures - custom closets/built ins - stone/brick patios and veneers - garage/shop/tool organization and maintenance - electric /gas fireplace installation I have no idea if you even do some of the above but if you do they would make great videos! Also maybe a few comparison videos specifically detailing different routes people take with projects and what you have seen in terms of longevity and routine problems that may arise: laminate/vinyl/hardwood; solid wood, painted kitchens; mdf vs wood trim; laminate/vinyl, ceramic, porcelain tiles; I think most do it yourselfers don't mind doing the work if it means they can buy better materials because of the savings but sometimes it's hard to tell if some materials are worth the extra money. Thanks again!

Great series! I don't subscribe to many channels but your channel is a must for anyone interested in learning more about remodeling and construction. I thought I knew how to drywall and paint but was always frustrated and never got the results I hoped for. I'll admit I'm impatient and never seem to have enough time to do the job properly. I'm lucky if I get 2 coats of mud on the wall before I say "good enough!" I know you are suppose to prime and paint 2 coats but I usually get paint with primer and try to finish it in one coat. I'm doing a another small project now and after viewing these videos I feel a lot more confident about doing the work. My only suggestion would be to include more information about the products you use. Thanks for the help!

Hi, you're a wonderful teacher and I am so confident now that I can teach my hubby how to do the drywall. I watch, then teach! Any videos about how to take down an inside wall and re-insulate? put in a vapor barrier? and cut drywall? + tips? That would be so helpful!
