As always the video is edited so crucial parts of training may be missing(Checklist usage etc...). This video is for informative purposes only, always consult a CFI for training.

I just began my multi training in a D model Aztec. Only taken one flight so far which was the most amazing thing i've ever felt so far lol first takeoff was memorable as hell lol. But as i'm sitting here reviewing procedures and configurations for the maneuvers, this video of yours helped so much with my review! I've watched this whole video maybe three times now while chair flying. THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT!!!!

Nice job Sammy! I was with you for the whole flight. Very impressive. It looks like you’ve got that beast under control pretty well. I’m glad to see you put another video up, it’s been a while. Have a great day, Sammy.

Hey Samuel - nice job. That sounds like Andy J. In the right seat. He is a great MEI and knows the Aztec well. Good luck with the rest of your training.

You can sync your props with your iPhone camera. (Or probably Android too) Just point the camera over the console and even up the rotation…

Hi Samuel. Very nice video. Got two questions for you. 1. What is that little box on the top of dash board on the right side? 2 With F tanks of fuel, how much weight you can take it? Thank you.

This F model holds 176 gallons and when filled full of fuel that leaves us with around 950 lb for people and baggage...The little box on the top right of the dash is a garmin GDL 50...That feeds weather and traffic to the tablet so we can watch for other planes and also bad weather..

What's the engine start procedure mentioned at the very beginning of the video?

At the very beginning of the video, your MEI said that the Aztec loves that engine start process… can you tell me what process you used? Thanks for the video!

Great video Thank You! What if you lose left engine,is it still easy to control the plane? I am thinking about buying Aztec but I did my multi rating in piper seneca

I did my multi in the Seminole, and I also have Seneca time. Both have counter-rotating props, so they don't have a critical engine. I've also flown a 160hp Apache (predecessor to the Aztec), and didn't think losing the critical engine was a terribly difficult thing to handle. Yes, it's noticeably different from losing the other engine, but I had no troubles keeping the airplane under control. The Apache and the Aztec both have what they sometimes refer to as a "double critical" engine. In other words, if you lost the left engine, not only do you have to deal with combatting greater yaw issues, but the left engine also has the hydraulic pump that operates the hydraulics for the flaps and the landing gear. So if you lose the left engine, you lose the ability to lower the gear unless you use the hand pump or the blow-down bottle.

I have not been on KZfaq lately. I got a job flying corporate in a king air and a citation. I don't really get to video anything with it. I might make a video about it though at some point explaining what I do. Otherwise, KZfaq is going to be very sporadic for me.

Boy, Climbing at blue line you barely got 500ft per minute on climb with 3 adult passengers and half fuel? So if you lost 1 engine climb at blue line would be what, 100 or 200ft climb power at best? Without density altitude
