@@Solbashio i disagree she has potential and is a really balanced character and isnt a massive powercreep. shes fun to use and even though people find her underwhelming i find numbers to be a lesser priority than how much fun it is to play, the personality design etc although i respect your opinion and hope you respect mine

Those all electro series weapons are used by baal. Similarly like how zhongli has used golden majesty weapons and venti used skyward weapons. Those are not their main weapons but it's their best in slot.

The kinda sad thing here is if you pay attention to Beidou/Xingqiu damage in floor 12 showcase, XQ is straight outdamaging Yoimiya and Beidou also does more if there are more than one enemy. She's very cute but she seems to be pretty weak. Maybe Shimenawa set would help.

okay, this may be a meme build but consider this: THUNDERING FURY Yoimiya Lemme explain, it buffs overloaded dmg by 40% in beidou-fishcl bennet comp. Not amazing but pretty good. But here's the kicker. Every time you overload, you elemental skill CD is reduced by 1 second. This makes it so that you have a 100% uptime on her skill, which means 100% Pyro infusion 24/7. You miss out on some damage buffs from other sets, but you can completely focus on Yoimiya being on field 24/7 and all your other supports are just swap-e-q-done. THINK ABOUT IT

This is actually an off-meta build for Hu Tao. I found it somewhere on the internet and it is so much fun. I can almost get 100% uptime with her e (sad c0 noises) and the fact that I can use both Hu Tao and Beidou in the same team just makes me happy. You do miss out on a huge damage boost from 4CW and overload sucks against hilichurls but fuck it, it's so much fun just having 100% e uptime. I'd guess it would be the sane for Yoimiya, except actually potentially viable. Spamming e isn't a problem for her since there's no health cost and she doesn't care about overload since she's a bow user. In the fireworks team, Beidou is the one carrying the team anyway so it doesn't matter if Yoimiya loses some damage from not having CW or Reminiscence set. It's a win win!

Yeah characters that can get the job done or well balance might be the better word. Is rather healthy for the future of the game. Since well you know if you roll, you will get something usable. Which looks very nice for the future. Since if everyone favorite character can be viable, that means everyone can be happy and just enjoy playing the characters they find the most fun.

I've been running this team since pulling Yoimiya, and it's definitely not meta but it's hella fun: Yoimiya with the new Reminiscence set as the on field DPS. Beidou as an off-field DPS, triggering massive overloads, and proccing Yoimiya's ult when it's up. Succrose with viredecent, reducing resistances and also pumping EM for big overloads Sayu as a healer, running Wanderers/Maidens, and to give Anemo ressonance in theory to reduce cooldowns but mainly just because it's fun. Is it meta? Hell no. Is it optimal? Of course not. Is it stupidly fun flinging everyone around? I dunno, ask me again in 10 mins once this hillichurl hits the floor again.

This is the most comprehensive Yoimiya guide I have watched so far. Just a few people mentioned about procing her Q with off-field supports, which I was wondering (because I haven't got her yet). Yoimiya is an interesting character with unique merchanic. It'll be repetitive and boring if every new character is another or a upgraded version of one existed character. This game'll last for a long time and Mihoyo has a lot more to offer us in the future, so just ignore the powercreeping and embrace the waifu materials!

Sponsored by Mihoyo. Lol. She is unique but she does not function properly. Nobody wants the powercreep Xiao/Ganyu elemental rainbow of new 5 stars, however new characters need to fit comfortably within the game. She cannot support because of her Burst ICD problem, she can't main because her damage scaling is poor for a 5 star and she can't even be run as a replacement for Amber as she lacks AOE and her Overload comps constantly fling enemies out of melee range. Of course with rumoured Electro buffing and the eventual Dendro release circa 20XX, maybe Yoimiya will become relevant, but it is baffling that Mihoyo would ignore Alpha and Beta-tester feedback and release Yoimiya into the game as is. Also waifu-ing is all well and good but Mihoyo survives through people whaling for new characters and whaling for purely waifu reasons in a gatcha game that could last years is a slippery slope.

@@wearmeout1 Sorry, what I meant was if a game can only rely on players waifu rolling it is a slippery slope. This is what caused the death of Kancolle (significantly damaged and shrank the player base). The gameplay was power crept up to insanity, rewards became hard content locked and people played for waifu reasons. Then they released a new, highly anticipated, waifu and her art was sub-par and the community exploded and still has not recovered.

@@kingdoom5022 naw as a ganyu main since her banner, shes def the most broken character... her damage isnt locked behind skill cd or energy from a burst like most dps are, all u have to do is fire that charged shot and it goes bop bop and deals at least 20~50k... and thats every 3 seconds

Ganyu works because the party becomes some kind of "dual dps" team. You open with Ganyu's E and Q, enabling Yoimiya to Melt in her 10s uptime, then when you switch out you Q and go to Ganyu, now you use Ganyu to shoot the Yoimiya's Q target, melting for insane damage. It's good for Abyss imho!

The few times I've gotten to play Yoimiya, I really liked her. I want to grab her on her re run. I don't care that she isn't broken. I have Hu Tao and Ganyu for abyss, so I'm more than happy to play her in open world. I love her personality as well.

Something to note about the Viridescent Hunt is that its grouping ability essentially nullifies the bouncing that overload causes, letting Yoimiya have some better AOE against smaller enemies with someone like Beidou or Fischl

I use Viridescent Hunt on Childe because I don't have Skyward Harp. After using Viridescent Hunt for a while I would say that grouping ability really helps a lot 👍

She might not be perfect, but she's fun to use, and of course, waifu>meta. Now time to build Beidou... I was going to wait until Baal/Yae, but after seeing this, I'll do it now hahaha.

The buffs yoi has gotten are yun jin and yelan. Yelans damage is better than xinquis at the cost of slower hydro application. But with yoimiya ICD they line up perfectly for vapes. Yun jin at c6 is a massive buff to normal attacks. Top team in abyss rn is yoi yun jin bennett yelan, I like yoi yun jin yelan zhongli. Here come the fireworks ❤️

Wonder how that went :( then he kept saying Shime was bad for her (yes I understand he wanted to continuously use her ult) he also prioritized crit rate and crit dmg over everything, in his case his r5 rust was better than skyward harp. 🤦🏽‍♂️and his team comp ideas were bad 😭I don’t wanna seem like a know it all, but geez.

If you are thinking of Overload Yoimiya, you should try 2pc CWF 2pc Wanderers as 4pc CWF only gives 40% Overload damage increase while 80 EM from Wanderers is equivalent to 60% Overload damage increase -but maybe the +7.5 Pyro Dmg Bonus compensates for that since Overload AoE is Pyro dmg?-

Is Overload's knockback really an issue anymore? It looks like a lot of the new enemy types have concrete shoes. I'm super interested to try dps baal, electro mc and em sucrose when booba sword is out. Maybe the EM isn't as good as bennet though.

I use her in the TF/TS domain where enemies are almost always electro. Slimes are not an issue since they barely fly back from Overload. And w/ the mages, most of the time, her NA follows them quite well even when juggled. I think maybe it's only an issue w/ enemies that are tiny w/ knockback like hili/samachurls. But I managed to at least clear Floor 12 (as someone who always struggle to even get 3 stars total).

Abyss comprises the primary end game content between major new content patches and the difficulty continues to ramp up with harder DPS checks. Overload comps can be an unnecessary element of RNG when fighting in floors 9+ in Abyss as one enemy being flung out of venti/sucrose burst range could lose valuable seconds. I really don't think so. So far it's mostly been an issue because all the pyro/electro carries we've had were melee and it IS annoying to yeet mobs away from a melee character. I don't see how this would be a problem with a bow autoattacker though, you could even consider it an upside that you're constantly interrupting small enemies. + as others have pointed out, a lot of enemies aren't even knocked at all, so who cares? The bigger issue with overload is that it's a transformative reaction rather than an amplifying one, so the damage should be lower than a (forward) melt or vaporize...buuuuut A) they've been buffed in 1.6, and B) nothing in the game requires an absolutely insane DPS check anyway, so you're more than fine with transformative reaction teams.

Regarding the overload comp, I think it works perfectly for the current abyss, because little to none of the enemies can be knocked back.

Great video! Currently running my Yoimiya on a 4 Piece Shiminawas's 78/248 build and been loving playing her! She's definitely not the strongest but she's very fun and I'm very glad I pulled on her! I'm currently in the process of converting my Physc Fischl build to Electro-support so I can pair her with Yoi! Again great video! Looking forward to the Sayu video when that comes around.

How the hack you get that kinda of Crit rate and damage ratio with the Shimenawa 4 piece set? You are blessed by the RNG god and get Crit damage 28-30% on every piece?

@@MarineRX179 This is with Thundering Pulse, so 66.2% of that Crit Damage is from that. However, I have been very fortunate with this domain. My off piece is a crit circlet with 28% crit damage roll. My pyro cup is on set and all pieces have at least 3 Crit rolls on them. I also have another feather that I can run and get to 88/214 ratio, but have been having more fun with the higher crit dmg.

@@King_sNap something you should know: all “DMG bonus” stats are additive to each other (for example pyro damage bonus, normal attack bonus, etc), so sometimes when running shimenawa paired with her passive it can actually give you more dps to use an attack goblet instead of a pyro goblet. ideally you wanna balance it out

For a "fireworks" themed character, I don't see nor feel any fireworks on her gameplay at all. If her E had like Childe's riptide and explode when hit dealing AOE dmg, she would be so much better already. Her charged attack (homing missiles), albeit unique, wasn't that useful considering it has very low multipliers at lvl 10. There's a lot of mechanics that could have been better for her and yet I doubt she will be buffed.

Childe's AOE is satisfying especially when riptide explodes and spreads to other enemies. His double burst is also fun to switch between depending on the team comp. Yoimiya lacks so much for a "fireworks" character as you said and it's pretty atrocious how mhy neglected her theme and kit

As someone who got her on my second low leveled account, I'd just like to share my team with her: Geo Traveller: Sub Dps - using his elemental skill and elemental burst with harbinger Noelle: Shield (bit healing but not mainly): Good for Yoimiya, since she will provide a shield for her single targetting, geo resonance for traveller Bennett: obvious reasons - dmg bonus, healing, pyro resonance Yoimiya: Attacking with her elemental skill (not too much focus on my burst though) I don't know if I should recommend it, but it is so much fun to play for me really.

Shime is really good with the new bow. Going into a fight with full energy, but then using your skill typically lets me use my Burst at the end of my Skill window. This also has the advantage of it letting you take full advantage of the A4. Which I feel like people are kinda ignoring. 20% atk bonus for your team is a decent chunk to just get for a free. It does mean she has some ramp up time as she is kinda the first person you want on the field. E > AA > Q > then use your sub dps stuff and buffs > back to yoi for E at full dmg. Teams that I have been finding the most effective are the full pyro team you mentioned, but then Yoi/Bei/Ben/Suc for AoE and Yoi/Ben/Kazu/Dio for single (I will say I have c2 kazu and and c6 dio).

Me too I did like 35 summon for diona cons but got 2 Sayu's and won 50/50 Yoimiya today. First time I got a character before 60 summons I'm still happy because do like Yoimiya. And Sayu is soo much fun. Look like my Diluc is finally getting a break😂

I love her so much, I think she’s so cute and she reminds me a lot of myself in the way she acts and talks to people. I don’t even care if she’s not ‘that good’, she’s just hella cute and super fun to play. To be honest, I’ve been starting to build her today and I saw some 14k’s in there, while she’s level 60 with no raised talents and a level 60 bow for now as well, which in my opinion, is actually pretty good??! I’m looking forward to building her and making her stronger day by day (:

Thank you very much for this video! This is a good guide for building her, and not a review, which is important to note for viewers, since she is drawing a lot of debate. Personally I think she is undercooked and there are lots of problems with her kit. However, she is super cute, and I'll probably pull for her anyway. Honestly, I've been waiting for an in-depth guide to see if it would put me off pulling for her. This guide has helped me to make the best of her!

Thank you so much! I saved my guarantee and pulled her because i love her design so much and i luckily got thundering pulse too. Shes now lv80 ; the artifacts are not fully upgraded yet although i got decent ones for her. Problem is now i dont enjoy using her in fighting yet so i was kind of regret for pulling ..but your video helps alot🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️ i always refer your build for others too but this is my first time commenting i think, and longest one too hahah just appreciate it so much . The homing is good, its damage isn't. 25%x3 is ONE auto attack's worth of damage. And when you have to charge up to use it, it's just a waste of damage. It is purely to be used vs shields

I use the 4 piece reminiscence, and what i do is i use her burst, swap to the other characters and attack and use their bursts, so then when i go back to yoimiya i already have 15 energy to use

I'm pulling for yoimiya for 3 reasons. 1 - She always seems so happy 2 - Her attack animations are fun 3 - Her VA did an amazing job making her sound cute Not because it's strong, meta, stronger than other 5stars, I don't care about none of that. People in this game care too much about a character's power... Remember when Zhongli was first released? People didn't pull for him because he wasn't as strong as they expected, so the banner ended and a lot of people started to regret skipping. When his first banner came, 5mins in I had him on both my accounts. I pull for characters I like, if they are strong or meta is just a detail I don't care about, if they are broken, that's just an extra, it's not the reason I pulled for them

Personally I think Ganyu is insane with her. Ganyu ult is perfect to trigger melt for Yoimiya while in her E. Then Yoimiya’s burst is perfect to trigger reverse melt on Ganyu charged attacks. They compliment each other so well

thanks for the help! I was a little confused about what kind of weapon and artifact I could put on it. But I ended up leaving with two of the witch's and gladiator's set, this caused my yoimiya to take 176% critical damage and 50% critical rate. Thanks man, with your help it has been much easier to build the characters!

Honestly every vid is just a Bennett, xingqiu and kazuha showcase, characters like ayaka, Xiao, and to an extent ganyu can do great on their own without support, yes it's a team game but a character that needs a lot of help to even perform "viably" is not a "DPS"
