Why this channel?
When I was in secondary school, the subject I got consistently low grades in was art class.
I made it mean I was not good enough: I lacked talent and I'd better look for something else to do with my life because painting was not going to be it for me.
Decades later, after taking a completely different career path, I am giving myself the chance to learn art again. Colouring, drawing, painting, sketching and illustrating. I’m trying them all.
0 expectations.

Thank you so much! I love using them and am trying to find which books they work best in. They don’t seem to work that well on Rita Berman paper, but they’re wonderful in Johanna and Melpomeni books. What has your experience been?

@@colourandthecity I agree - they work wonderfully in Johanna and Melpomeni books. They don't blend as well in Rita's books but I've just been embracing the mottled kind of blending they give on less-smooth paper - I think it gives a kind of watercolour-look to the page. :) I also tried them in a Maria Trolle book this past month and I think they gave a similar look - mottled/vintage/watercolour type of thing. The Staedtler Pigment Brush Pens seem to give a better blend on the slightly toothier papers - I think their ink formulation must contain something (shellac, maybe?) that lets their ink sit on top of the paper a bit longer. You could try the Staedtler pens in a Rita book and see if you like how they perform better. :)
