I usually notice that the value of the "help wanted" requests is based off the requested object. it is always worth more than the market value, and it seems the objects requested are dependent on both season and progress. If they ask for crops or fish, it will always be of one that is in season. if they ask for gems or ore, they only ask for stuff that can be found before or very shortly after your highest floor. (they can ask for diamonds if you are deep enough)

Talk to Clint. You'll hear when you reach the number and the ! will bounce every time you add one towards the count.

If you look at 4:12, you just closed out instead of accepting Clint's quest, which is why you couldn't finish it. And the quest completion sound was for the quest where you have to give someone a gift.

So, for the Clint thing (and any other quest that requires more than one item), you can use items you already have. You just have to right click them one at a time into your inventory. I’ve done this out of chests, but not from the item spawner, so I’d be interested to see if that works.

She was in need of a Seaweed to prank her Dad and the completion dialog also changed to her asking you to dont say a word to Pierre. UInfortunatly you cant tell Pierre about it. That would be cool, if it enables a secret cutscene event or something

Idk if anyone's said it and I know it's pointless, but DF never actually accepted Clint's 20 ore request, which is why it was just given as a gift. The quest complete sound was the giving gifts quest

I had mentioned it in a previous video, but you can put the ores in a chest and out them back into your bag one at a time to complete Clint’s requests. I don’t think it works for the fishing requests, though.

Once you collect any ore for Clint to inspect you only need to talk with him, not give the ore as a gift. The same goes for the collected slimes Louis will ask for. Love these videos.

For Clint's copper ore jobs, you only need 2 ores, but more works better. Drop an ore and pick it up, the job counter goes up one. Drop 5 and pick up the same 5, the counter goes up 5. The condition is you have to keep at least 1 in your inventory to keep the counter from resetting.

Yeah, when it comes to the ore requests from Clint, you have to get them in your inventory one at a time so it registers as you getting them. You can do it by throwing all 20 on the ground and picking them back up, or pulling them into your inventory one at a time from a chest or when buying the from Clint.

The Clint trick is actually a lot simpler than you think. When it comes to the ore based requests, what counts is them being acquired into your inventory, since it's supposed to count how many you are obtaining in the mines , and it doesn't have a special means of doing so, like fishing. All you have to do to complete the request is obtain the designated number of ore individually. This is why dropping it and obtaining it again works. Most people keep a small backstore in a chest at Clints and move the number they need one at a time into their inventory, which will complete the request. It's free money. You do not need to be holding the item actively while checking in with Clint. Since you keep the ore, the quest does an inventory check for it, since handing it over absorbs the item. So you just need it in your inventory. This is what went wrong with your first check in. It was also counting the one in your hand as a gift.

The geological survey ones are like the fishing ones--you have to go mine brand new ores, especially if you're using a version that doesn't let you put the ore down and pick it back up.

I believe Willie asks for water related items because he wants more people and stardew Valley to be fisherman. I think you says that at some point other than when he gives you the rod, like at a heart event or Quest reward.

Just letting you know that it's good you didn't do it on an existing character where you've reached any part of the mine, otherwise you would have seen lots more of Mayor Lewis where he asks you to kill 5-10 slime in the caverns. It gets really annoying, real fast - aside that he pays like 250-500g for those quests. Also, I do like doing fetch quests for Razmodius the Wizard, because he asks for something like Light or Dark Essence, which he generously pays you 1000g for. Easily one of the better quests in the game.
