Great analysis. I am usually disappointed by remastered or rearranged versions of game soundtracks, but this remake’s soundtrack seems to be on track to be incredible. This track expertly interweaves motifs from the original FF7 boss theme with a few transitions from the Bombing Mission track. It manages to be fresh and respectful of the source material at the same time.
@Sawngawkuh
@Sawngawkuh 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah. It sounds like the score is going to be expanded to have more unique tracks for certain, if not all, boss encounters, all playing with the classic theme while incorporating certain leitmotifs tied to whatever scenario that enemy is faced in. I imagine Rufus' fight will mingle the Shinra material with the boss theme in a similar fashion to what what was done with the Bombing Mission here.

Wow amazing break down, great stuff. I’ve been meaning to ask how you structure your compositions in FL Studio as regards patterns and songs. It often looks as though you just keep extending a single pattern as though it were a traditional linear sequencer like Cubase or Logic. Is that right? I’d love to know more about your workflow in FLS. Thanks for the vids!

FF7 has someone the best music ever... That being said, this song seems way too busy and while I can’t wait for the game, I wasn’t impressed with any music I heard. That being said there’s still time. Maybe I’m alone here, but this quick ADD run around everything going on with the song just exemplifies my point. I wish they just used real orchestra and were traditional with the amazing songs they have to work with - yes I’m open to change and anything they do

Great recreation! You kind of 'oversimplify' in your explanations sometimes though, and your use of the word 'basic' is misleading because not everything is as moment-to-moment as you make it seem, the bigger picture of the track is anything but basic, by all means. But I know it comes from a good place, you want to encourage your viewers and show that anybody can do this, and you're just having fun while explaining this stuff in 5 minutes, so no time for more detailed explanations. But it would be cool to have a more focused video explaining the harmonies, scalar runs etc. You're a gifted musician, otherwise you wouldn't be able to transcribe something like this by ear, so please don't take this the wrong way. I'm just a bit puzzled by your use of the words 'simple' and 'basic. What is a 'complex' track to you by the way?
@AlexMoukala
@AlexMoukala 4 жыл бұрын
I have plenty of videos where I go over those concepts in the span of 30 minutes. They're older than this one, but still very relevant in my mind. Also, if we're talking about Final Fantasy, here's a more complex orchestration in my opinion: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/idJzp9VkxJ69l5c.html Or also this one: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lcWkpc-H0rWzaWg.html
