And now I understand why the trailer soundtrack of Dunkirk is different from the actual movies, because they both really want to keep it as a secret.

arumteguh I'm not really sure what they mean by secret. The secret is in the result, just listen carefully, distinct the patterns and try to come up with the theory. :)

This is a wonderfully self-deprecating interview. I was a student on the Hans Zimmer Masterclass Course last year, and Hans' genius revealed itself to me very distinctly in this period. His uniqueness, (for me) lies in his ability to read and anticipate not just his Directors, but also - and this is a rare talent - the audience watching the movies he's scoring. He knows instinctively where his audience is emotionally at any given moment in the movie, and can steer their reactions with a confidence and authority that is unparalleled amongst his peers. The things I've been learning from Hans this last 12 months, will stand me in good stead for the rest of my days...

What a great inisght to know that some of his best soundtracks have been inspired by the love to his children and considered by him to be letters ¨written¨ to them in the language he masters.

The answer is Continuous Metric Modulation . As the tempo increases it then subdivides to different meter, which then creates a meta-tempo which then must subdivides. let me give you the example: 4 / 4 increases in tempo until it becomes 2 / 4 2 / 4 increases in tempo until it becomes 1 / 4 1 / 4 increases in tempo until it sounds again like 4 /4 (1 + 1 + 1 + 1) that apparent 4 /4 tempo then increases to become 2 / 4 sort of a "Shepard Tone" in tempo

Isn't Composing music score and developing a sound scape are to différance exercise’s, please don't get me wrong I love Han's music. But it's the sound scape that fires the imagination, i, mean look at the opening of Blade Runner. It is the ambient sound of people, and street life the blimp and the fire venting sounds, It draws you in to this world and having a great score tie's the whole experience together. Hans Blade Runner 2049 was so good, But! It's not Iconic, in the sense that his Interstellar of gladiator was. I think Vangelis is the king of an opening scene like mutiny on the bounty or 1492 conquest of paradise. But Han's was close. Given the time, His version is just a little Dorney. Vangelis is a pioneering synth musician and synth Virtuoso. There are a few that would of been good like Bear McCreary and John Murphy.

I just made a recreation of a Man of Steel track, if anyone wants to here it check it out on my channel. I tried my best to get to sound like the original with a little bit of my touch on it, but only having 4GBs of RAM and having a lot of tracks don't really go well together so that was a hindrance on the process, but I worked my way around it and did what I could do, I hope you check it out and enjoy it.
