They give local anethesia for any kind of "surgery" such as cavity fillings. The area of your mouth will go completley numb, you won't be able to feel anything, and if you're nervous, you can ask for something to calm you down. Dentists are great people and you shouldn't be afraid to go to the dentist, the only thing you should worry about it costs regarding them, but I can promise you having your problems taken care of will take a toll of your mind than worrying about your teeth breaking apart and causing even more pain than you'll ever experience in a dentist office.

I've had the 2 for over a year now, and I've heard/read somewhere that they can last a really long time.

Make the appointment. Same thing happened to me. I went sometimes a month without brushing. Don't worry about the past and the sooner you go, the more chances your teeth will be saved. When I went to the dentist I expected the worst, but it wasn't too bad. Also, don't feel embarrassed because the dentists have already seen everything. Don't wait and make an appointment.

Mental illness is real & a dentist in the 21st century should be aware of that & how it impacts the physical body. Most dentists probably aren't ignorant to mental illness so I hope that if you are honest with them about the situation they don't judge you. Please make the appointment, later on you'll be glad you did & they will help to preserve what's left of your teeth & save you from further pain. Good luck xx

I have a bad teeth, more like 3 are rotten with holes, i live in a third world country, i never laugh infront of people, my teeth are not white, more like light yellowish, even scared to go to doctors to pull my decay teeth out cause i'm ashmaed to show it, never had girlfriend or friend since i ashamed to be with other people beside my family, even with my family if i laugh or smile i always put my hand infront of my mouth, i wish someday i'll be able to fix it, or just pull every teeth out, and just put a fake one, this thing made be depressed , everytime i bruh it bleeds, i brush just way too much and my gums are getting smaller and smaller and my teeth looks longer and longer, i just wanna die sometimes i hope someday wish i can laugh like normal person

@@nakachinjah7240 You are more than just your teeth, but I understand why you feel ashamed, it’s difficult with anything that is visible to others which you are not confident about. We all have flaws, try using a Soft Bristle toothbrush, never hard, brush in a gentle circular motion without pushing hard against your teeth, always floss gently and use a mouthwash that fights gingivitis such as Listerene if possible… after a few weeks the mouthwash will help or possibly eliminate bleeding gums if the issue is gingivitis. I hope you are able to see a Dentist and correct the cavities, but it’s important to maintain the teeth and prevent the cavities growing and getting deeper. Good luck ♥️

Most dental procedures don't hurt. I've had two Root canals and hurts very little tbh. The recovery stage may be the most painful part, and even that is more about waiting and taking pain meds. So, don't delay because of pain, that is a very bad reason to delay a dentist appointment.

It's not bad at all! Mine were far worse than this, gums were a little sore once the freezing wore off but didn't end up needing to take a tylenol it's the next morning for me right now and theres no soreness or anything, definitely worth it!

No they numb your mouth so you don't feel anything lol. It does feel a little weird but it was by no means painful.

It will last a lot longer if you stay clear of very hot and cold drinks as well as keeping up with your dental hygiene!

You'll be fine besides when i got my tooth removed they sticked a needle in my gums but it doesnt hurt and besides how bad can a tooth filling be?

@@lovecraze5741 I had a crown done and it was HELL. It took them two whole hours to file down my chipped off tooth for the crown and I just sat there and took it. But it was one of the most painful things that I ever went through, I'm hoping this is better

Sugar that you don't get off your teeth. The best way to prevent cavities is, if you eat cake or anything with sugar, drink water right afterwards. Now if you have a chocolate bar like a Kit Kat, Milky Way or a 3 Musketeers bar. If you drink water right after eating the chocolate bar, it wont get all the chocolate residue off your teeth. After you drink water, the best thing to do is brush your teeth. That will get off the remaining residue off your teeth. Now if you get a candy bar at a store and eat it right away. Drink water after you eat the candy bar, then you can use a QTip or gum stimulator to get the remaining residue off your teeth. A gum stimulator is a stick the size of a toothbrush with a rubber arrow. You just use the rubber arrow to get the chocolate residue off your teeth. I've been doing this for 10 years and haven't gotten a cavity since. You replace the rubber arrow every 3 or 4 months or when it wears down. You can buy the rubber arrows on Ebay Ebay. Your dentist can remove and replace the resin bonding with one that will match better. If it happens after it’s redone than I’d recommend Veneers. Just stay away from crowns if there’s no decay on the back of the tooth.

Same from not having insurance for a while. The braces couldn’t be cleaned enough because I couldn’t go to a dentist, and so they ate at my enamel. I have crowns now, but it’s all good. Just if you can afford to, get them filled or fixed, pleas don’t wait, you don’t want the trouble. I had my enamel on the top erode from my front teeth for 6 years that’s what they looked like. Thanks to God I am able to smile without air hurting my teeth. They were about to get pretty bad too. Please don’t wait if you’re able.
