Can someone explain... why would you overcollatoralise and paying APR to borrow an asset instead of just swapping for that asset?

You can supply ETH and borrow usdc against it. If eth goes up, you can pay back the usdc amount, and claim back the eth. So... you benefit from appreciation in eth price while being able to play around with some usdc in the meantime (usually 80% of initial deposit as loans are overcollaterised). Key word being IF eth goes up
