An excellent review Peter, thank you. We have just taken delivery of our Cherry Red VW California Coast and are delighted with it, being quite happy to sacrifice all these motorhome bells and whistles for a much more drivable and manoeuvrable everyday vehicle. A different part of the market of course, but I do feel these 7m+ motorhomes with the huge overhang are just too big for narrow UK roads.

I'm a VW T6 owner, too, but some will always want more onboard comforts, fixed beds, shower, etc. Enjoy your Cali!

Wow it is not bad for the price or first time owner of a motor home not bad at all what was it 55 grand i would be happy with it no problem at all good show keep up the good work be safe

Very nice. With very little new innovations coming to motor homes, giving a higher specification to base models is a great idea. They are useful upgrades, not really rather pointless ones like soft close cupboards and the like. Thanks for another useful review, Peter.

I think most of these will be couples' vans, meaning the faffy travel seats will probably not be needed, ok for the occasional weekend or of there's a separate car available. Good spec though.

The travel seats almost certainly help with resale when more of the buyers are likely to be families. Also, a lot of buyers want travel seats for friends/children/grandchildren for occasional trips

Apart from the layout most of the fixtures and fittings are identical to my previous van an Autoquest 130. Now that was a 2014. I would have thought some updates were in order. I was amused to see the same useless window blinds awful folding table and exact same noisy water pump and fuse board. In 7 years they do not appear to have come that far. Certainly not for that money.

It’s a shame that the cheaper things to add for the simplest things in life have been omitted. So for £55k, what are we all really getting? Is it just a bed on wheels or am I missing something
