That's true I bought a system new sealed with they're bypass and no help was given.

I have the same remote and was able to do it just lock the car and then hold the unlock and lock for a half a second like the video says and the lights should blink similar to how they do when you unlock or lock doors and then unlock the doors and this time you shouldn't get any chirp from the siren and just the lights should blink and if your trying to turn it back on its the same procedure just this time when you push the unlock button you should get a double chirp and the lights will blink twice

Probably in valet mode. Had a battery replaced and it would open and close doors but no start.

Usually remote starter modules are set to 15 minutes.

Once I press unlock it stops making the sound.

any chance you figured it out? just bought 2014 civic Touring yesterday and just shuts off when you hit brake or start button

True but all of that should've came with the alarm and remote of your choice.

@@quacktony just take it to a authorized dealer and they can change the idle time, I had mine changed to 45m at a authorized dealer.

I have a 700r remote as well. Came with the car I bought. Was your statement about the silencing your alarm/siren answered?

I have the 7900A on my 95 Impala and I can't silence the loud chirps from the car when I lock and unlock

Luigi Provencher Sorry to hear that man, I don't think these guys are willing to give you an answer either since they just make their systems and sell them to the dealers or installer/tech, the problem is with your installer. Whenever anyone is looking for to get a remote start/alarm installed in their car I personally recommend that all the features I want will be included in the price period. I advise to you would be to go to another installer that handles Compustar systems and ask the to turn on that feature, most times they just have to connect a programming device into the antenna port at the windshield and activate, is that simple. Who would be honest enough to do it for free? Only you can find out! Good luck!! Let me know how that goes!

Luigi Provencher One other suggestion, you can go to techfeed.com and find the model alarm or remote start you purchase and download the install manual, it contains all the info you need to see what features you have available for your system, if you're in luck you could even activate your feature using your remote!

Luigi Provencher The same thing has just happened to me. They told me i needed the 4 button remote to replace the original Chevy one. I paid more for the 4 than the 1 just to realize a couple weeks later the trunk button does not work. Now they want a additional $40.00 to program it. I was never told that it was extra. THIS IS A FREAKING SCAM!!!!! So very disappointed
