If you’re just getting into programming as a hobby and want to make some cool things right off the bat, I’d highly recommend python, just because it is very flexible and you can focus on problem solving rather than the intricacies of the language and syntax rules. If you are serious about programming, it would also be a good idea to learn a language like C++ because it is much lower down and you have more direct control over the hardware, and you’ll learn a lot more about how the things you were doing in python are actually happening “under the hood.” It’s also important to learn how data structures work, and C++ or java are great languages for learning that (C++ better imo ;) I will say though, as much as I love C++, I really don’t think it’s the best language for a beginner just because it can make you feel like you’re doing a lot of work just to make simple things happen, which is why python is a great language for beginners, because you can just jump into building some interesting projects relatively quickly. Also there are a lot of other cool languages out there that are good for lots of different things, but C++ and python are my personal favorites and I think they are very valuable languages to know, so that’s why I focused on them.

@@rban123 good advice my man. I would recommend languages based on this: Do you know which path u wanna go? Web dev? Info sec? Systems engineering? Data Science? Then dive into the relevant languages used in those domains. If not, if ure still unsure and wanna explore, then python as ur 1st language.
