I wanted to touch on something you mentioned in this video Artosis. One of the reasons I watch you is you over other casters is you don't just commentate. Other casters tell us what is happening (which we can see with our our eyes). You take it a step above. You tell is WHY what is happening is happening. You explain the context and/or the history of why what is happening is happening. You explain what one player or the other needs to do to correct a situation or why it was an error on their part. I've yet to see another caster display such an informative, encyclopedic take on Starcraft like you. You're extremely passionate about it and it shows through. Thanks for all you do!!!!

I think the quote you're looking for is the first line of book 4 of Art of War: "skillful warriors make themselves invincible, then they watch for enemy's vulnerability"

It is actually quoted in art of war. “You need to ensure you don’t die and then look for opportunities to win”…the connotation is before you attack your opponent, you gotta make sure all your potential weaknesses are taken care of, so you will not lose the battle at bare minimum. Then scheme for the win 😊

I just want to say that it's been great getting up in the morning to watch the new cast that's been released. I've only had a passing interest in playing BW because I'm too busy to actually learn, but it's great fun to see it in action and, especially, to have great commentary to help go beyond narration and move towards understanding the decisions being made. I'm not going to get bored any time soon watching this style of BW casting :)

Hello Artois, great game as usual with Scan. And I'll never get enough of that daily fix of BW! One thing I couldn't help but notice is the picture quality in this one. Compared to yesterday's upload, this one looks at little washed out, like a greyish tinge with less fluid animations even at max quality. Just wanted to let you know in case something broke somewhere. Looking forward to the next video. Cheers!

There's moments like ~18 mins where it's Zealot + Goon vs Tank + Vulture, and 'there's no extra tech' is called. But in reality there's 2-3 observers still alive, giving Protoss perfect positioning. It seems like that matters a lot.

On the topic of micro optimizations. Honestly, the start-scout-cancel and that type of stuff, may not be worth it, for a simple reason of keeping your build streamlined and relying on muscle memory more. Seriously, even something as simple as cutting something early on in order to squeeze out an extra worker early, may throw you off enough from your standard, that by 7 minutes you find yourself missing 4 workers. (or 4 units...or whatever). You could easily end up making extra production facilities too early / too late as a result, etc.

Hey Artosis, thnx for the casts. I like listening to you and I do appreciate your clean language. I would like to watch a game where you play and cast yourself e afterwards, because when your commenting like almost every thing you say make sense, and still those pros are pulling different actions than what you recommend so it would be nice to throw some light on how one have planed to play, but for any reason had to make different choices and like attack into those narrow areas or shooting not to put more turrets up though it is obvious for anyone else that that would have make the difference 🤭

Silly question for you: all the games are barcode/gibberish versus barcode/gibberish. Who/What/How do these alt accounts get correlated against actual players identities, especially when it seems the players are taking steps to specifically prevent from being identified?

What a stressful game. Mines getting more kills on allies than enemies didn't help. nOOB did well against the perfect human.

Its crazy how pros utilize vultures a lot, i never used them at all when i used to play. These guys make neutralizing the spider mines extremely easy. I always hated their shortcomings, that’s why i would never use them. But man, when the mines actually DO hit…oof.
