pure chaos... classic Coco
@hw-rg7gn21 күн бұрын
Our democracy is under siege from the GOP, oligarchs are destroying the middle class, Republican judges are targeting women, minorities, immugrants, and the LGBTQ community...and all Tapper does is write books, stare blankly at guests who spew lies, and interview celebrities. Tapper fits in well with the Vichy French of WWII.

I met Conan a few times. The first time is something I’ll never forget. he was the absolute sweetest guy. Like how you’d hope he would be. He played such a HUGE part of my childhood from 10 years old on (and I’m 40 next week) and when I was telling him in the most calm /chill way how big he was to me as a kid and how the show was a huge comfort for me due to just…chaos in my family ..I absolutely got emotional out of nowhere and he goes “I’m so glad I could be there for you during that time.” And was so kind and gave me a hug. I think it cured my childhood trauma lolll I waited 27 years for that . But we also chatted about stuff after but mannnn I’ll never forget that. He is an absolute gem.
@h3artands0uLL21 күн бұрын
This secondhand cured mine 🥲😭🥹🥲. I’m so glad you had that experience with him! Sounds like he’s the absolute best and one of the heroes you want to meet. I hope I get to talk to him one day and tell him how much he means to me and has made me smile, laugh, and have hope in the hardest times. Also how much I look up to him for how he treats others even when they hurt him - he never lashed out at Jay for the crap he pulled. Even tho everyone would have backed him up on it. In that 60minutes interview for his tour, he had the opportunity to tear Jay apart and he didn’t. He said he wished him and the heads of the network the best. In the midst of his pain. An absolute class act. Yes the occasional joke on air here and there but never disparaging and harmful. I love him and look up to him. He’s like another Robin Williams to me in his own way - with just how much he’s made me laugh and brought comfort by his performances/shows/demeanor. Anyway…. Love you, Coco! So glad he is as kind in person to regular folks as he appears to be

Also was impressed he knew the name of this absolutely obscure and silly sketch they did like in the late 90s…they did it ONE time and I described it barely and he knew the name of it like instantly. Howwww? (Ps. It was Tea Copywriter Cage Match)

I was sitting at an outdoor restaurant one evening and I noticed Conan sitting by himself at a table writing in a notebook around ten feet away from me. There were just the two of us and out of respect for his privacy, I had no intention of connecting with him. However, as he glanced up from his writing, he immediately started a conversation with me as if we were already friends. The exchange was warm and engaging and a few weeks later, I again saw him at a breakfast restaurant with his wife. I was so impressed that he remembered my name and even gave his wife a brief summary of the conversation we had. Well beyond his celebrity stature, he is truly a nice guy.,
