I'm amazed at how many of you don't get that this is what a serious 30 year smoking habit does to the vocal chords. She DID "change her voice"... by smoking like a frieght train from the time she was a teenager. I hope she can stay off the cigs. Because at the rate she was going, she wouldn't be able to have a career at all... or much of a life in general in a decade. Our society has normalized smoking and drinking to the degree that people refuse to even see or aknowledge what they do to people. Crazy.

She has the same exact accent in American Pie as she has now. How do you think someone who was born and raised and lived her whole life in NYC would sound? To be frank, Natasha’s way of speaking/emoting seems like a schtick…a character she wants to be and embody…which is fine, but it always strikes me as strange. Don’t get me wrong; I like her and think she’s witty and funny, but she never spoke like this when she was younger (to my knowledge). It’s like she disappeared from the public eye for like a decade and crafted an entirely new persona for her second act of life. What’s also weird is that no one talks about it or seems to notice, lol. 🤷‍♂️😂
